Mildura Next Best Bet - Race 2 No. 8 Mrs Harris
The daughter of Zoustar has shown up well, finishing in the first four via three of her four starts to date.
The exception came when beaten seven lengths into sixth in a 2100m maiden at Ballarat in her sole start on a synthetic surface.
The filly possibly saw too much daylight in the straight that day and she put that effort behind her when runner-up two weeks later.
That latest effort saw Mrs Harris lose out by a narrow margin when contesting a 2000m maiden at Warracknabeal.
She raced on a Soft 5 track that day, however. the quicker going expected here is no issue. with her first two efforts both having come on good ground.
Cian MacRedmond, on board for the first time at Warracknabeal, is again set to ride here and with a good barrier in six, his mount looks up to breaking through.
Sunraysia Daily Maiden Plate Tips (Race 3)
Mildura Value Bet - Race 3 No. 5 Dolce D’Amour
The three-year-old registered the first top three finish of her career when \second at Bordertown at the start of May.
The filly was beaten less than two lengths when contesting a 1200m maiden held on a Good 4 surface that day.
Dolce D'Amour has gone on to race twice since, with both of those efforts coming over 1200m at Casterton, including when third on a Soft 6 track next time.
The youngster started awkwardly when beaten four lengths that day and she has been freshened since finishing sixth-of-twelve at the same venue last month.
The daughter of Russian Revolution over-raced in the early and middle stages that day, having raced wide and without cover, while the heavy going was possibly against her also.
The return to good ground here is a positive and jumping from next to the rail, she looks value to break her maiden for the Andrew Bobbin team.
Mildura Gateway Tavern BM64 Handicap Tips (Race 4)
Mildura Best Bet - Race 4 No. 2 Demojo
Kylie Vella’s representative is a lightly raced type, having made just four appearances since debuting with a second at Terang in December 2023.
Two wins wre recorded in those attempts, including when breaking his maiden on heavy going at Ballarat in June last year.
Demojo was making his second start when taking out an 1100m maiden by over two lengths that day, however, he disappointed at Seymour next time.
The son of Denman was off the track for nearly a year following that Seymour effort and he delivered a good fourth when resuming in a Benchmark 0-64 handicap last month.
The four-year-old was beaten just under four-and-a-half-lengths at Cranbourne that day and he recorded a second-up win on Ballarat’s synthetic track last time.
He led in the straight when contesting a 1000m Benchmark 58 handicap that day, while Demojo looks ready for this step up in grade.

Mildura Feature Bet - Race 7 No. 2 Dubai Poet
The British-bred gelding recorded a number of good efforts in defeat in 2024 prior to ending the year with his first Listed victory at Morphettville in December.
Dubai Poet came home half-a-length clear of his rivals when contesting the 1200m Christmas Handicap that day.
Racing on a Good 4 surface, the gelding tracked the speed prior to leading in the straight when partnered by his jockey here Todd Pannell.
He was spelled following that effort and he returned to action with a good third-of-eleven over the same distance in the Listed Wangoom Handicap.
The son of Lope De Vega raced on a Heavy 8 track that day and the switch to a forecast Good 4 track is a positive in this contest.
The step up to 1400m is no issue, having performed well over further in the past and having gone well from a wide alley in the past, he looks up to recording a win.
