It's a tough meeting for a standout, however, I'm keen to follow Scalable wherever she's goes on debut, with the daughter of Reliable Man also holding a nomination for Tuesday's Gosford card.

She's always shown above average ability at the trials and connections have been patient with the filly, who was spelled after an April showing last year and she'll get over more ground in time.

The Bjorn Baker stable is flying over summer, with a strike-rate of almost 35% since the start of December (36 winners) and while she'll improve from this, Scalable looks a filly with a big future.

Canterbury Roughie - Race 4 No. 8 Final Reset

With more rain predicted on what is already a Soft 6 surface on Wednesday night, don't be surprised if there's a move for Final Reset at bolters odds, with the gelding arriving here fourth-up.

He failed to finish off when in the market at Canberra last start and the jockey reported post-race that the five-year-old may not have appreciated firm ground (Good 3) via that December 27 card.

His lead-up runs prior to that BM70 tilt were sound (luckless fresh) and his two wins have both come on testing tracks, which includes a Heavy 8 triumph over Bright Red (subsequent Saturday winner).

Canterbury Value Bet - Race 5 No. 2 Capital Asset

Especially given that he had no prior first-up wins, the December 26 return from Capital Asset was a pass mark and he'll have freshness knocked off from that (he was very keen in the run mid-race).

While his last victory came on a Good 4, his biggest career win was recorded on heavy ground and his last prep form through Le Ferrari, Marble Arch, Lethal Thoughts and Flying Destiny reads well for this.

Capital Asset was scratched from a suitable race on Wednesday's Randwick-Kensington meeting, but he draws softer in this BM72 and there's relief second-up after the Zac Wadick claim.

Canterbury Next Best Bet - Race 7 No. 4 Storm The Ramparts

After moving nicely in two December lead-up trials, Storm The Ramparts was a heavily backed $2 fav for his BM78 resumption at Randwick and he was just fair via that 1000m Boxing Day tilt.

There were some excuses in that recent fresh showing, where the gelding was eased back to find cover after jumping well and the speed drawn inside of him gave Jason Collett no other options.

He can atone here, with his last win coming on Heavy ground vs Lavish Empire (won his next start) and the consistent sprinter was runner-up behind Jedibeel (Listed winner last month) before a spell.
