Led by their impressive group of rising prodigies, Sydney FC crushed Bayswater in the Australia Cup R32 before drawing with EPL giants Tottenham - the Sky Blues are backed to continue their good form by defeating Brisbane Roar at Spencer Park on Sunday in a game that produces Under 2.5 goals.
Sydney FC continue their pursuit of a third Australia Cup trophy after previous triumphs in 2017 and 2023. The Sky Blues should be confident of knocking out the Roar, who have struggled near the bottom of the A-League for the last few years now and are still trying to build a full roster for next season.
While Sydney suffered a blow with Spanish forward Victor Campuzano being ruled out for the next season with an ACL injury, they have some brilliant young players that are set to light up the A-League this upcoming campaign.
Thiago Quintal (20), Akol Akon (17) and Mathias Macallister (19) are leading the next generation of young homegrown attacking players in Sydney, with all three playing a huge role in the 5-1 crushing of Bayswater in the previous round.
Akon missed the draw with Tottenham last week, but Quintal and Macaliister again impressed, with the latter almost scoring a wonder goal from the halfway line.
