Sydney FC is set to face Perth Glory at Allianz Stadium, looking to build momentum ahead of the A-League finals. Despite an up-and-down season, a recent 2-0 win in the derby has boosted their confidence. They are expected to secure another victory and solidify their finals position. Perth Glory, while performing better recently, remain underdogs. Sydney's Apostolos Stamatelopoulos is gaining form and poses a threat. The prediction favors Sydney for a home win, potentially securing a clean sheet.

Sydney FC vs Perth Glory Tips & Prediction

Sydney FC will be hoping to generate some momentum ahead of the finals when they welcome Perth Glory to Allianz Stadium in the A-League on Saturday night.

It's been a stop-start season so far for Sydney, but they are pretty much ensured to make the finals, most likely finishing anywhere between 3rd and 6th. Patrick Kisnorbo's side are coming off a confidence-boosting 2-0 triumph in the derby over the Wanderers last week and if they are serious about challenging for the premiership, they absolutely need to take care of Perth here.

Glory will be no pushovers though - they've gone unbeaten in five of their last six games and played finals spoiler to Macarthur last week, prevailing 3-1.

Still, Sydney are the superior side and I expect them to lift with the finals around the corner. I'll back one team to score, with the Sky Blues producing a shut-out victory, while striker Apostolos Stamatelopoulos is finding some form after joining on loan in January and can find the back of the net for the second straight game.

Sydney FC vs Perth Glory Head To Head

Sydney came away with a narrow 1-0 victory back in Round 9, with Abel Walatee's strike in the 5th minute proving the difference.

Sydney FC Form Analysis

Sydney haven't really got going at any stage this season and come into this contest with a 11-4-9 record and in third spot on the ladder.

However, the fact Sydney are coming third having not played their best for the bulk of the season shows there's plenty of upside - if they can get it right.

Obviously the Sky Blues are running out of time, but they were able to secure a vital three points in last week's derby against the Wanderers.

Al Hassan Toure found the back of the net for the first time since December and Apostolos Stamatelopoulos finished off the game with his second goal since joining Sydney in January from Motherwell.

Perth Glory Form Analysis

It's been another disappointing season for Perth, who head into this encounter with a 7-6-11 record and down in 10th spot on the ladder.

But, if you want to look at the positives, at least Glory are almost certainly set to avoid another wooden spoon, while they have been in decent form to end this season.

Indeed, Perth are unbeaten in five of their last six fixtures, proving very tough to break down with four draws in that period.

Glory crushed Macarthur's finals chances last week, prevailing 3-1 at home. Nicolas Pennington opened the scoring (and nailed us a $6.40 anytime goalscorer bet) before goals from Gabriel Popović and Arion Sulemani finished off the Bulls.
