Wyong Value Bet - Race 2 No. 4 Shambretta
He was safely held at starts two and three before a spell, however, Shambretta finished runner-up as fav via his Hawkesbury debut on November 28 and he beat home Reasonable on that occasion.
Reasonable had placed in three metro maidens and he broke through in January, so there's some form around his peak performance and that first race day appearance was on soft ground.
Shambretta has looked more comfortable on rain affected going in his trial work, which includes a Soft 7 heat win on March 5 when and he can settle on the speed here from a good draw.
Mingara Leisure Group Super Maiden Plate Tips (Race 4)
Wyong Favourite - Race 4 No. 9 Ella Hazel
A wide barrier for this second-up assignment isn't ideal, although I suspect that Ella Hazel will be the one to follow from this weak maiden and class can get her home over a suitable trip on Wednesday.
She made inroads from the rear without threatening first-up at Kembla Grange and the form has already stood up from that 1300m event, with a talented Frontex winning at Newcastle last Friday.
Ella Hazel is well bred, being by Dundeel and out of Maid Of Heaven (Group 1 winner), while the three-year-old did catch the eye in two stronger maidens early in the season before going to the paddock.
Apg Medallion Recipients BM68 Handicap Tips (Race 5)
Wyong Next Best Bet - Race 5 No. 7 Kenmare Bay
He's been mostly consistent, with his worst performance coming via an end-of-prep run when contesting a Listed race at Flemington and he arrived to that race off four consecutive top three finishes.
In a leader-dominated race, Kenmare Bay was the pick of the chasers behind Lugarno when resuming over 1350m at Wyong on February 27 and getting out to a mile second-up looks ideal.
The O'Shea & Charlton-trained galloper has proven himself on wet ground, with a Soft 7 placing before winning a 1600m maiden on a Soft 6 and vs older rivals who have found their mark, he's well placed here.
Apg Cup BM64 Handicap Tips (Race 7)
Wyong Best Bet - Race 7 No. 9 Triple Tempo
With two big trial wins recorded in slick time ahead of this first-up attempt, Triple Tempo was always going to be well found and the filly does look to get on-speed favours from barrier one.
Prepared by the in-form Bjorn Baker stable, Triple Tempo improved with racing over her first campaign, which includes an all-the-way Orange victory on October 10 before being tipped out.
The easily accounted for Miss Kim Kar in that maiden triumph and her three-year-old stablemate has franked the form, with a winning hat-trick via her next three starts (latest was in a metro BM68).
