The three-year-old was ridden cold on that occasion staying on nicely widest of all to be beaten just under four-and-a-half-lengths.
The slight step up in distance is expected to suit here and he has been allocated a good barrier four off the rail.
Jessica Tzaferis, on board last time out is again set to ride and the pair may prove capable of upsetting some better fancied rivals in this contest.

The pick was beaten just under four-and-a-half-lengths when stepped up to 1400m on that occasion and the slight drop in distance shouldn’t pose any issue here.
The filly raced on a sound surface, a good 4 for the first time that day and similar underfoot conditions are expected here.
A wide barrier is the biggest concern for Dan Clarken & Oopy MacGillivray’s representative however she is taken to overcome to break through for her first win.

The son of Bondi showed good placed form in Western Australia in 2024 including when finishing runner-up over 1300m in a Class 1 contest at Belmont in August.
The pick was racing first up that day and while he failed to score in two subsequent starts that prep he delivered solid efforts on each occasion.
The four-year-old joined the Aaron Bain & Ned Taylor stable prior to resuming with an eighth of nine over 1250m when racing on the Parks track at Morphettville at the start of last month.
The selection took a step forward when fifth in a Benchmark 0-68 handicap over 1525m at Morphettville three weeks later.
The gelding kept on nicely in behind the leaders on that occasion and he shaped as if the extra distance he tackles here will suit.
This looks an easier contest and with Jason Holder booked to ride the four-year-old looks capable of recording the second win of his career.

The four-year-old has been in good form in recent months including when registering the second win of his career in taking out a Class 1 handicap over this track and trip in January.
The form of that contest is working out well with the race producing a number of subsequent winners including the second, third, fourth and fifth.
While the pick himself has been unable to score in two subsequent starts he has shown up well on each occasion most recently when runner-up in a similar race to this over track and trip last month.
The gelding was settled in fifth that day finishing strongly finding only a front running winner too strong on a good 4 track.
The selection is expected to race on the speed here and he and jockey Todd Pannell, on board for each of his last three outings have a good barrier two from the rail.
