Kembla Grange Value Bet - Race 2 No. 3 Gwendie
In a stronger Class 1 than what she faces on Friday, Gwendie's return effort was better than it reads, with the mare awkwardly placed before finding nothing but backsides in the straight.
That form reads well through first and third, who have both been competitive at metro level, while the beaten fav defeated Cinsault prior that, who bolted in last Saturday (Sir Sublime also a recent winner from the July 17 Class 1).
While she doesn't have the best strike-rate, Gwendie is generally thereabouts and in her last attempt over this track/trip, she beat a progressive Unusual Prospect.

Kembla Grange Next Best Bet - Race 3 No. 3 Ninja
The early market was always going to warm to this Michael Freedman-trained galloper, who brings a short starting price from a debut third in a Randwick-Kensington maiden.
Ninja is talented, which was evident via his last trial when beating a smart Nazwah, but the youngster is still a work in progress and there's natural improvement to come at start two.
He appeared to lack a turn-of-foot over 1100m via that recent city appearance, so the rise in distance should suit here, while Leading Impact (fourth) franked the debut form last Sunday.

Kembla Grange Best Bet - Race 8 No. 13 Samarelle
It's a tough meeting for a standout and late in the meeting on what's likely to be a worn surface, barrier one at Kembla Grange could prove problematic for the daughter of Savabeel.
She impressed via a July 15 debut victory at Newcastle, with Samarelle forced to wait until the 250m before reeling in The Stars and the first two cleared right out in that event.
The Stars couldn't deliver second-up at Warwick Farm on Wednesday, but the runner-up had nice form around her four city attempts over summer (also including Bluff 'N' Bluster here at a big price).
