Blakes Marine Handicap Tips (Race 3)
Hawkesbury Best Bet - Race 3 No. 2 Lontrice
It was a solid debut from Lontrice, with the Team Hawkes-trained galloper managing a third-of-seven finish over 1250m at Canterbury on November 14 in a race that produced You Sexy Thing.
That form has held up well, with You Sexy Thing going on to be competitive over the Magic Millions Carnival before breaking through at Doomben.
Spelled after that spring attempt, the three-year-old’s return effort at Randwick-Kensington was much better than it reads on paper.
The galloper ran the third-fastest last 200m of the March 25 meeting in a maiden dominated by Metallic Cat, who franked that form with a comfortable BM72 win at Warwick Farm last Wednesday.
Lontrice was working home from back and wide in that fresh run, which was completely against the pattern of that meeting.
Evergreen Turf Handicap Tips (Race 4)
Hawkesbury Next Best Bet - Race 4 No. 4 Fiorenza
With a treble recorded on the opening day of The Championships followed by a winning double at Rosehill on Monday, jockey Rachel King is in terrific form.
She was aboard Fiorenza in her last two runs of 2025, as well as both March trials, and the recent work suggests the mare has returned stronger this preparation.
The lightly raced five-year-old has an excellent first-up record, with one win and two seconds from three attempts.
That latest fresh effort came on November 28 when resuming off a 13-month layoff, making the performance even more encouraging.
Her first campaign culminated in a strong maiden win at Wyong in October 2024, which came in a competitive field.
Darren Pullman 10yr Memorial Handicap Tips (Race 5)
Hawkesbury Roughie - Race 5 No. 10 Sheeza Diva
There is still clear upside with this three-year-old, who broke through second-up on her home track in September.
She then produced two competitive efforts in stronger company, including a fourth-of-16 finish in the Group 3 Gloaming Stakes.
In that 1800m feature, the filly recorded the fastest closing sectionals of the race.
That preparation tapered off slightly late, although she was far from disgraced in the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes before heading to the VRC Oaks.
Sheeza Diva looked sharp winning a 1000m trial here on March 13 and resumes at 1300m, with her sole victory coming at this track and distance.
Richmond Club Handicap Tips (Race 6)
Hawkesbury Value Bet - Race 6 No. 5 Bella Khadijah
Bella Khadijah returns to her home circuit now fourth-up, where her Hawkesbury form demands respect.
Her two starts at the track have produced a win and a narrow defeat, including a strong performance on September 6 before a spell.
The mare has been building well this campaign, finding 1300m slightly sharp first-up in stronger company.
She then ran the fastest closing sectionals in a provincial qualifier at Newcastle on February 28.
Stepping up to 1500m at Rosehill on Golden Slipper Day, a wide barrier proved costly, but she still recorded the fastest last 800m, 600m, and 400m of the Midway, and from gate five here with Jason Collett staying aboard, she maps for a more favourable run.
