Robrick Lodge Handicap Tips (Race 2)
Canterbury Value Bet - Race 2 No. 3 Yoshida
Jim and Greg Lee don't have a big team, but they've got some nice types at the moment, headlined by Glorious Moments, and on debut for the Lee stable on Wednesday is Yoshida.
A son of Saxon Warrior, he really impressed in two Randwick synthetic trials earlier in the season, going to the line under a hold in both of those 700m heats before being given more time to furnish despite those performances.
On a Soft 7 track for his July 3 return in a 740m Randwick heat, Yoshida went to the front and responded to riding late to take out a trial that rated well for maiden class that morning.
Reece Jones remains in the saddle, having been aboard in all three of his public hit-outs, while connections have thought enough to kick him off straight in this $100,000 Super Maiden.
The early market is led by Persian Wonder, who was always going to be found after being Group placed last campaign, while his two winter trials have been solid.

Canterbury Best Bet - Race 3 No. 2 Krasina
There was enough to like about Krasina's first campaign, while all three appearances this preparation indicate a breakthrough is looming.
She finished fifth of nine on debut at Rosehill on January 17 after receiving no favours, having gone back from a wide draw before making a wide run, while that first prep culminated with a competitive fifth of 10 at Group 3 level.
With a kinder draw, she could well have taken out a 1000m Warwick Farm maiden on return in May before finishing runner-up second-up four weeks later.
On the short back-up at Randwick on June 6, she arguably should have won after being held up at key stages of the straight before getting out when it was too late and finishing a half-length third.
Freshened since that latest attempt, the drop back to fillies maiden company is noticeable and, while respecting several rivals with clear upside, Krasina does look the obvious top selection.
TAB Handicap Tips (Race 5)
Canterbury Next Best Bet - Race 5 No. 2 Infusion
She was a Canterbury debut winner on Heavy ground last winter, with that first campaign ending in a competitive third when remaining at this circuit on August 6.
Infusion then didn't come up in a short summer preparation and was given further time ahead of her May 30 return, which was a good performance when back and wide in a Saturday BM78.
She was a touch plain following that when remaining in the same grade on June 13, with blinkers applied ahead of her latest appearance when dropping back to this grade.
Although beaten as favourite on July 1, she couldn't have done much more after settling back and attempting a wide run in a very slowly run race that was dominated by a leader carrying 5.5kg less.
While she loses a claim, Infusion gains the services of Zac Lloyd, whose 11 winners in July since returning from a short overseas stint have come at better than 30%, and he has barrier two at his disposal.
Racing And Sports Handicap Tips (Race 6)
Canterbury Favourite - Race 6 No. 2 Watson
The son of Capitalist also holds a nomination for Randwick on Saturday, and it will be interesting to see whether connections wait and potentially get a firmer track with a few more days of drying weather.
However, his wet-track record is a little inconclusive, with the most testing surface he has encountered being a Soft 7 track in the Canberra Guineas before a spell, where he was beaten just over a length as favourite.
He raced on Soft tracks throughout his first preparation last winter and was clearly a different horse after being gelded earlier this year, opening the campaign with back-to-back victories.
He was then sent around as an $8 chance in a strong edition of the Group 3 Eskimo Prince Stakes and, while outclassed, that field included Tempted, Napoleonic and Wodeton, while he also finished ahead of Group 2 winner Rivellino.
His main threats appear to be Verbil, who was scratched from a tougher Rosehill race last Saturday and boasts a perfect first-up record with good Canterbury statistics, while Useapin was plain fresh but is capable and is a notable class dropper second-up.
