Sebastian Korda vs Jiri Lehecka Tips, Prediction & Live Stream - Lehecka to open Monte Carlo campaign with a win

Both of these players are capable of top 10 level tennis, but their bodies have let them down all too frequently over the last couple of years - who can start to build some initial momentum to launch the European clay swing in Monte-Carlo?

I'm leaning with Lehecka in these conditions. The Czech is one of the more physically impressive players going around (when fit) and he was on a superb run on the clay of Madrid last year, reaching the semi-finals, before a knee injury forced him off tour for the next three months. I also can't ignore the only previous meeting between these two players, which Lehecka won for the loss of just three games. I'm taking the Czech at a small -1.5 games line and in the H2H market.

As mentioned, Lehecka won the only previous encounter between the pair, crushing Korda 6-2 6-1 in the semi-finals of Adelaide 2024 before going on to win the title.

Korda comes into this contest with an average 6-5 record on the season and will be hoping to accumulate some ranking points during the clay swing, where he doesn't have much to defend.

The American started the season in solid fashion, reaching the semi-finals of Adelaide, but a second round exit at the Australian Open to Aleksandar Vukic was a disappointing result.

After missing the short Middle East swing and losing his opening match in Indian Wells to Gael Monfils, Korda got back on track with a run to the quarter-finals of his home tournament in Miami, defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas before going down to Novak Djokovic.

Korda has a 3-2 record in Monte Carlo, making the R16 on his debut appearance in 2022 before going out to Jannik Sinner in the R32 last year.

Lehecka arrives in Monte Carlo with a strong 13-6 record for the season, but he did most of his good work in the opening month of the year.

Indeed, Lehecka won his first eight matches of 2025, securing the title in Brisbane and reaching the fourth round of the Australian Open, going down to Djokovic.

The Czech also defeated Carlos Alcaraz to make the semi-finals of Doha, but since then he's been dealing with niggling injury issues, losing his last four matches - including opening exits in Indian Wells and Miami.

Lehecka has a 2-2 record in Monte-Carlo, making the R16 last year before going down to Taylor Fritz.
