It's been an explosive rise up the rankings for Fils, who is up to a career-high live mark of No. 13 courtesy of his run to the Monte Carlo quarter-finals.

After collecting two ATP 500 titles last year, Fils has raised his level and is doing damage at the Masters 1000 events, becoming the only player to have reached the quarter-finals in Indian Wells, Miami and Monte Carlo.

The 20-year-old is now the No. 1 Frenchman on tour after defeating Tallon Griekspoor, Flavio Cobolli and Andrey Rublev in Monte Carlo this week.

Fils completely dismantled Rublev 6-2 6-3 in the R16 on Thursday, winning 21/26 points behind his first serve to secure the seventh top 10 scalp of his career (2-1 in 2025).
