Felix Auger-Aliassime, the top seed, takes on Jiri Lehecka in the Dubai Tennis Championships quarter-finals. Auger-Aliassime is keen to win his 10th ATP title and prove himself outdoors. Both players have had challenging paths to the quarters, each overcoming early stumbles. The head-to-head is tight, with each winning once. Both are expected to exceed 22.5 games, highlighting a competitive match that's likely to favor tiebreaks. Auger-Aliassime has shown excellent form recently, but Lehecka remains dangerous despite inconsistencies.

Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Jiri Lehecka Tips, Prediction & Live Stream

Top seed Felix Auger-Aliassime squares off against Jiri Lehecka for a place in the Dubai Tennis Championships semi-finals on Thursday.

Auger-Aliassime is aiming for his 10th career ATP title this week in Dubai, but with eight of his triumphs coming indoors, the Canadian has a bit of a point to prove in the outdoor conditions. Auger-Aliassime hasn't dropped a set on his way to the last eight, but it hasn't been entirely smooth sailing, needing six match points before putting away Zhizhen Zhang and coming back from 0-3 down in the first set against the giant-serving Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard. Lehecka has also battled his way into the quarter-finals, recovering from a set down against lucky loser Luca Nardi before twice coming from a break down in the opener before putting away qualifier Pablo Carreno Busta.

Not much has separated these two in their previous meetings - the pair have played a total of four tiebreaks in seven completed sets and neither have looked at the peak of their powers so far in Dubai. I'm staying away from an outright winner here and instead looking to the Overs - take 22.5 games and at least one tiebreak.
  • Auger-Aliassime has seen Over 22.5 games in seven of his nine previous Dubai matches
  • Lehecka has seen Over 22.5 games in five of his previous six completed Dubai matches
  • Over 22.5 games has landed in both previous completed meetings between the pair
  • These two have played four tiebreaks in seven previous completed sets
  • Lehecka has seen Over 22.5 games in five of his last six completed best-of-three matches vs top 10 players
  • Auger-Aliassime has won 12 of his last 15 quarter-finals
  • Lehecka is 6-4 in his last 10 quarter-finals
  • Lehecka has a 9-22 record vs top 10 players
  • Auger-Aliassime has won 25 of his last 27 completed matches vs players outside the top 20

Felix Auger-Aliassime Form Analysis

  • 2026 Record: 11-3
  • ATP Dubai Record: 7-2
  • Current Ranking: No. 7
  • Career-High Ranking: No. 5 (2025)

It was a slow start to the season for Auger-Aliassime, but he's up and running now as he targets a second title of 2026.

Auger-Aliassime was forced to retire in the first round of the Australian Open, but bounced back to emerge with his ninth career title in Montpellier before finishing runner-up in Rotterdam, continuing his stellar indoor record.

The Canadian is back outdoors in Dubai this week as he attempts to win just his second title in these conditions.

Auger-Aliassime edged out Zhizhen Zhang 6-3 7-6 in his opening round before chopping down Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard 6-4 6-4, recovering from 0-3 down in the first set.

Jiri Lehecka Form Analysis

  • 2026 Record: 6-3
  • ATP Dubai Record: 4-3
  • Current Ranking: No. 21
  • Career-High Ranking: No. 16 (September 2025)

Lehecka has the talent to feature in the top 10 at some stage of his career, but consistency and various injury problems continue to hold him back.

Case in point Lehecka's Aussie summer, where he was forced to retire in Brisbane and subsequently lost in straight sets in the opening round of the Australian Open to qualifier Arthur Gea.

The Czech appears to have regained his fitness, putting together back-to-back quarter-finals in the Middle East over the last fortnight.

Lehecka went down to Arthur Fils in the Doha quarters last week before wins over Luca Nardi and Pablo Carreno Busta in Dubai.
