In the concluding match of the regular A-League season, Perth Glory stand poised for victory against Brisbane Roar. Both teams have been out of the finals race, but Perth shows signs of resurgence with strong home performances. Meanwhile, Brisbane's poor run extends with only one win all year. Backing a home win, Perth aims to end the season on a high note, with predictions favoring goals from both sides. Nicolas Pennington is a player to watch as Perth seeks redemption at HBF Park.

Perth Glory vs Brisbane Roar Tips & Prediction

Perth Glory and Brisbane Roar are playing for pride as the two lowly sides clash in the final round of the regular A-League season on Saturday at HBF Park.

Both teams are safe from the wooden spoon, but have realistically been out of the finals race for a while now. It's been another disappointing campaign for both clubs, especially after they each made initial bright starts before fading badly.

With nothing but pride on the line, I like Perth to lift as the home team to give their fans something to cheer about. The Roar have been awful all calendar year, failing to win 14 of their last 15 games, while Glory have actually been in decent form, going unbeaten in six of their last seven outings and earning strong home wins across their last four against the likes of Macarthur and Auckland.

Take Perth to prevail with both teams finding the back of the net. Nicolas Pennington has been good to us all season with insane value for Anytime Goalscorer. The bookies are catching up a bit, but we can still get good odds of $4.75 for the starting Perth winger to add to his five goals for the campaign.
  • Roar are winless in 14 their last 15 games
  • Glory are unbeaten in six of their last seven games
  • Glory have won two of their last four home games
  • Roar have scored in their last five of their last six defeats
  • Glory have conceded in their last three wins
  • Nicolas Pennington is Perth's joint top scorer with five goals for the season, playing 90 minutes as the starting winger in his last seven
  • 2-1 has been the correct score in four of the last eight A-League meetings between the teams

Perth Glory vs Brisbane Roar Head To Head

This will be the third meeting this season. Brisbane came away with a 2-1 win on the road back in Round 13 before a 1-1 draw in Round 19 at Suncorp.

Perth Glory Form Analysis

Glory come into their final game of the season with a 7-7-11 record on the season and down in 10th spot on the ladder.

Trailing the top six by nine points heading into Round 26, Glory were never seriously in the finals hunt despite a promising start to the season under Adam Griffiths.

Nevertheless, Perth have proven tough to break down lately, going unbeaten in six of their last seven games, holding finals-bound teams like Melbourne City and Sydney FC to draws, along with earning a 3-1 home win over Macarthur across the last month.

Squad will be announced on Thursday.

Brisbane Roar Form Analysis

After spending the opening couple of months nestled inside the top six, it's been an alarming fall from grace for Brisbane, who are down in 11th spot on the ladder with a 6-8-11 record.

The Roar have only managed one win in 2026 - but that did come against Perth.

Overall, it's been another poor season for Brisbane, who's physical brand of football was figured out by the majority of teams as the campaign went on.

Brisbane went ahead against finals-bound Melbourne City last weekend, but couldn't go on with the job, ultimately going down 3-2.

Verdict

Perth are backed for a home win to close out the season, with both teams finding the back of the net.
