It's been a disappointing last week for Macarthur - they went down 1-0 to Brisbane in their A-League opener before being held to a 1-1 draw with Vietnamese side Cong An Ha Noi in the AFC Champions League 2 on Thursday. Now, Macarthur face a quick turnaround to face an Adelaide side who are full of confidence following their 2-1 victory over Sydney FC last week, led by returning Socceroos star Craig Goodwin.
We've seen in the past how tough it is for A-League sides to juggle continental football and early signs aren't great for Macarthur. Losing to the Roar isn't a great sign and Adelaide impressed last week - will back the Reds in the Double Chance market, with a smaller stake on the visitors outright.
Head To Head
Macarthur are unbeaten in four of the last five meetings between the teams, winning three - including a thrilling most-recent 5-4 triumph in Round 23 last term, with Luke Brattan scoring the winner in the 83rd minute.
Macarthur FC Form
Not an ideal start for Macarthur as they were defeated 1-0 at Suncorp last week by Brisbane.
Macarthur were unable to make the most of their numerical advantage in the second half as the Roar were reduced to 10 men, with Anthony Caceres and debutant Šime Gržan missing the side's best chances.
Mile Sterjovski's side travelled to Vietman mid-week for the AFC Champions League 2 and needed to dig deep to pick up a point, with Tomas Uskok scoring an equaliser with 15 minutes remaining to hand his side a 1-1 draw.

Adelaide United Form
After a poor finish to last season, Adelaide have hit the ground running this term, securing all three points at home in a 2-1 triumph over Sydney FC.
Launching the campaign in front of their home fans, Adelaide were by far the superior side as they dominated the opening exchanges.
Adelaide’s class was rewarded early in the second half as a corner from Craig Goodwin found the head of Ryan Kitto in the 54th minute before Ethan Alagich doubled their lead 10 minutes later.
