It's been a disappointing last week for Macarthur - they went down 1-0 to Brisbane in their A-League opener before being held to a 1-1 draw with Vietnamese side Cong An Ha Noi in the AFC Champions League 2 on Thursday. Now, Macarthur face a quick turnaround to face an Adelaide side who are full of confidence following their 2-1 victory over Sydney FC last week, led by returning Socceroos star Craig Goodwin.
We've seen in the past how tough it is for A-League sides to juggle continental football and early signs aren't great for Macarthur. After a poor finish to last season, Adelaide have hit the ground running this term, securing all three points at home in a 2-1 triumph over Sydney FC.
