Auckland head into this contest following a 0-0 stalemate with Melbourne Victory in their opening game, while the Wanderers also shared the spoils, holding reigning champions Melbourne City to a 1-1 draw at CommBank. These teams are coming off strong seasons last campaign, with Auckland taking out the minor premiership and the Wanderers finishing in fourth, so both sets of fans will be hoping for more of the same this time around.
As always, tough to call these early season A-League games. However, this is shaping as a low-scoring affair. Auckland had one of the best defences in the competition last term and were involved in a goalless draw last week, while the two meetings between the teams last season also featured Under 2.5 goals. The unders look decent value at plus money, while the Wanderers looked good in their draw with City and are a good chance to come away with at least a point here.
Head To Head
Auckland prevailed 1-0 at CommBank in Round 16 last season before a 1-1 draw at Go Media in Round 25.
Auckland FC Form
Auckland would count themselves unlucky not to come away from AAMI Park with all three points against Victory in their season opener last week.
Despite having more possession, shots on target and an xG of 1.45 vs 0.79, Auckland couldn't find the back of the net and had to settle for a 0-0 share of the spoils.
Frustration boiled over in injury time as manager Steve Corica was handed a yellow card.

The Kiwi club will be looking to back up their tremendous debut season in the A-League, which saw them finish the regular season on top of the ladder. Auckland made the semi-finals of the Australia Cup in preseason, going down 2-0 to Heidelberg.

Western Sydney Wanderers Form
It was a solid opening performance for the Wanderers, securing a point in a 1-1 draw with reigning champions City at CommBank.
Kosta Barbarouses opened the scoring with his first goal for the Red & Black, but the Wanderers conceded moments later and the score remained level throughout.
Steven Ugarkovic and Angus Thurgate also impressed on their Wanderers debuts, with the side registering more shots than City - but only 37 per cent of possession.
It was certainly an improvement from preseason, when the Wanderers suffered a crushing 3-0 loss to Heidelberg in the Australia Cup.

Verdict
With Auckland remaining strong in defence and the Wanderers also seeing a relatively low-scoring game last week, Under 2.5 goals looks good value at plus money.
For me, the Wanderers were slightly more impressive last week, so they look a decent shout in the Double Chance market.
