But this Spanish side have all the ingredients to secure the silverware. Lamine Yamal is a genuine superstar, Rodri and Pedri hold down the fort in midfield, while Pau Cubarsi and Aymeric Laporte form a formidable central defensive pairing. They are coming off a brilliant Euro 2024 triumph in which they conquered France, Italy, Germany and England, while Spain are also unbeaten in their last 29 games inside 90 minutes.
I do believe Cape Verde are a chance of doing something against Uruguay and Saudi Arabia, but they are set to be outclassed here. The African nation are making their World Cup debut and this is the ultimate baptism of fire.
