The 2025/26 Champions League campaign should prove to be one of the most hotly-contested iterations of the competition yet, with a number of teams looking to better hugely disappointing campaigns.
One side that did not disappoint was PSG. The French giants swept all before them aside in a stunning run that was capped off with a 5-0 win over Inter Milan in the final, with this seeing them secure the trophy at long last.

PSG were the best side in Europe across the knockout stages of the Champions League, with the French side eliminating then favourites Liverpool before knocking out Aston Villa and Arsenal before humiliating Inter Milan in a 5-0 win in the final.
The French side are one of the favourites to secure the trophy again this year, but they are not at the head of the betting.
Real Madrid, who are the most decorated side in the competition's history, come in as the favourites, with Liverpool level with PSG.
Manchester City were woefully bad last year, and they will feel they have a point to prove this time round after they failed to win a single trophy domestically or abroad. They sit alongside both Barcelona and Arsenal, with the pair knocked out in the semi-finals of the competition in 2025.
The fact PSG were so poor in the group-stage before exploding into life in the knockout stages shows that it is a marathon and not a sprint. Both Liverpool and Barcelona excelled in the group-stage, but neither were there for the final.
With each side likely to spend a lot of money strengthening their squads in the summer, the competition will almost certainly be at the forefront of the minds of the sides at the top of the betting. Lifting the trophy is the ultimate show of quality in the European club game, and every side will be desperate to be the last time left standing.
Can PSG win the trophy for a second consecutive season, or will another of the top sides secure the biggest trophy in club football?
