After going three games without a win, the Cowboys will be glad to see the Tigers on the other side of the field on Saturday evening in Townsville. North Queensland have won their last three games against the Tigers, scoring a whopping 164 combined points. With the Tigers coming into this clash on a run of five defeats from their last eight games, including leaking 64 points against the Storm recently, the Cows are primed for another blistering attacking performance involving the likes of Scott Drinkwater, Jaxon Purdue, Tom Dearden and Jeremiah Nanai.

Lachlan Galvin is gone and perhaps it will be a positive for the Tigers, who can finally move on from the controversial young playmaker. But, right now, I'm not giving them much chance of troubling the Cowboys up in Townsville.

I'm backing the Cowboys to continue their point-scoring blitz in this H2H, covering a -8.5 line in a game that exceeds 49.5 total points. If he backs up from Origin, which is expected, Nanai should thrive on the edges and continue his great recent try-scoring form.

It's been a strange old season for the Cowboys, who come into this clash in seventh spot on the ladder.

North Queensland started the year 0-3 before going on a four-game winning streak. Heading into this encounter, the Cowboys are winless in their last three, drawing with the Panthers either side of defeats to the Warriors and Sea Eagles.

Todd Payten's side enjoyed the bye last week, but they were terrible at home in their most-recent game against the struggling Sea Eagles at home, failing to capitalise on countless early chances before going down 24-6.

Of course the Lachlan Galvin saga has disrupted the team and I think it can only be a good thing that he's moving on immediately.
