All Too Hard @ Vinery Stud Handicap Tips (Race 3)

Warwick Farm Next Best Bet - Race 3 No. 7 Hello Captain

While no match for Dominant Darcy on debut, Hello Captain still opened his career with a runner-up finish at Doomben on December 12.

The gelding put a decent margin on third in that first race-day appearance and the form around the winner has since been strongly franked.

Dominant Darcy narrowly missed at her next start before winning her following three metropolitan races in Brisbane before a fourth-place finish in a BM78.

Hello Captain then took the necessary improvement to breakthrough second-up in a Sunshine Coast maiden that has produced four subsequent winners.

His lead-up work ahead of Wednesday’s resumption has been sound, with James McDonald aboard in his latest trial and the champion hoop has this fresh engagement.

Schweppes Handicap Tips (Race 5)

Warwick Farm Value Bet - Race 5 No. 5 Black Babylon

It was a pass-mark resumption from Black Babylon in a 1600m BM78 on April 25.

Both the rise in distance and drop in grade look favourable for Wednesday’s assignment.

While sharply up in trip, the gelding’s previous campaign suggested he profiles as a 2000m-plus type.

Black Babylon completed a winning double at Nowra over 2200m after a Hawkesbury second-up breakthrough over 1800m when sustaining a long and wide run.

The son of Night Of Thunder remains lightly raced and makes some each-way appeal at a double-figure quote, albeit in a competitive affair.

Asahi Super Dry Handicap Tips (Race 6)

Warwick Farm Best Bet - Race 6 No. 1 Glorious Moments

Although he finished out of the placings in his May 15 trial, it was comfortably the best autumn hit-out from Glorious Moments.

James McDonald stays aboard from that latest trial performance.

The gelding has not raced since last winter, although he resumed off a much longer spell to win on Soft ground at Canterbury in June last year.

Glorious Moments then comfortably handled the rise into Saturday metropolitan grade with a dominant BM72 victory.

Confidentiality shapes as the main danger after winning two straight before a second behind Compensation, with that form holding up strongly.

The Agency Real Estate Handicap Tips (Race 7)

Warwick Farm Roughie - Race 7 No. 1 I’ve Bean Tryin’

Given he had no previous first-up wins, the May 5 return effort was a pass mark from I’ve Bean Tryin’.

The gelding settled back in an on-speed favoured race and still worked home fairly well.

Earlier in the season, I’ve Bean Tryin’ snapped a long losing run when dropping sharply in grade for a BM64 at Kembla Grange.

The gelding had also been competitive in much stronger company prior to that, including a second to Narbold, who subsequently placed three times at BM78 and BM88 level.

If middle and wider lanes are in play late at Warwick Farm, which they often are when rain affected, he could give this a shake at bolter’s odds.
