The All-Weather adds another dimension to the form, with previous performances on the surface, barrier positions and race tempo all important considerations as the evening unfolds.

Sha Tin Next Best Bet - Race 5 No. 6 Raging Warrior
Both trainer and jockey arrive in excellent form, with Jimmy Orman recording seven winners throughout October at a 94% return on investment, while David Hall has prepared six winners and ten placegetters from 40 starters this month.
The partnership has also produced a positive ROI of just under 44% over the past 12 months, and they combine again with Raging Warrior, a lightly raced four-year-old who caught the eye on debut over this course and distance on September 27.
The son of Lucky Vega settled well back from a wide barrier before rattling home for third, with the form already franked by winner Armour War Eagle, who subsequently scored again and now meets Raging Warrior on 2kg worse terms.
That rival also has to contend with a wide draw and 61kg, while barrier five should provide Orman with considerably more options aboard Raging Warrior, who has since completed an encouraging October 16 trial when finishing fifth without being seriously pressured.
With the benefit of race-day experience, a more favourable barrier and plenty of natural improvement expected at just his second start, Raging Warrior looks well placed to open his winning account on the Sha Tin All-Weather.

Sha Tin Value Bet - Race 6 No. 3 Happy Tercentenary
James Cummings is beginning to find his feet in Hong Kong, preparing winners at Sha Tin on both October 19 and October 25, and the Australian trainer has another interesting prospect in Happy Tercentenary, who makes his second appearance for the stable on Wednesday evening.
The four-year-old struggled to make an impression during his first Hong Kong preparation under Douglas Whyte, although there were more encouraging signs when he returned over 1400m at Sha Tin on October 11.
Carrying 61kg, the gelding settled towards the rear in a race dominated by those near the speed, with the leader controlling proceedings and the first two home clearing out, leaving those further back with virtually no chance of making up the necessary ground.
Happy Tercentenary nevertheless worked home reasonably along the inside to finish sixth, with Tycoon Express among the few runners to make similar late progress, and that galloper subsequently franked the form with a victory at Sha Tin last Sunday.
There is also encouragement for the switch to the All-Weather, with his only victory in Ireland coming via a dominant five-length success on a synthetic surface in July last year, while an encouraging trial on this track before his latest return suggests he could be suited by the change of conditions.

Sha Tin Best Bet - Race 7 No. 3 Wolf Coming
The combination of Jerry Chau and Danny Shum has been particularly profitable over the past 12 months, producing 12 winners at a 19.4% strike rate and a remarkable return on investment exceeding 187%, with the pair joining forces again aboard Wolf Coming.
The four-year-old has been desperately unlucky not to break through this season, first producing a strong closing effort when runner-up over 1200m on the Sha Tin turf on October 4, carrying 60.5kg and arguably having the better of the winner with their runs reversed.
His subsequent eighth of 12 on October 19 is particularly misleading, with the gelding travelling strongly into the straight before becoming badly held up behind runners and never gaining the clear running required to make a meaningful challenge.
Although the switch to the All-Weather presents a slight question, Wolf Coming was competitive at his only previous appearance on the surface, finishing sixth of 12 on April 1 when beaten just over two lengths, while he now carries 1.5kg less than in his latest outing.
Barrier five should allow Chau to settle the Danny Shum-trained gelding closer to the speed, potentially among the first few pairs, and with fitness on his side third-up and a clearer passage anticipated, Wolf Coming looks capable of making amends for two frustrating defeats.

Sha Tin Roughie - Race 8 No. 5 Straight To Glory
Bustling City is understandably prominent in the early betting after opening his Sha Tin All-Weather career with two dominant victories, but his subsequent defeat as a $1.40 favourite suggests there may be each-way value in looking beyond the odds-on elect.
The four-year-old again faces the prospect of a strong early tempo, and Straight To Glory appeals as an alternative at much bigger odds, having won two of his final three appearances on the Sha Tin turf last season.
Although the five-year-old has failed to reproduce that form in three starts this preparation, he drops to 57kg after carrying 61kg in his recent Happy Valley appearances, including an October 14 effort when beaten four lengths after being unable to build momentum when required.
There was nevertheless some encouragement in the way he finished off past tiring rivals, while Derek Leung stays aboard the gelding after partnering him to both victories late last season.
Wednesday marks Straight To Glory's first race-day appearance on the Sha Tin All-Weather, but he has previously recorded comfortable trial victories on the surface while travelling strongly, and with the potential for a genuine tempo to suit his finishing style, he looks capable of surprising.
