Randwick Favourite - Race 1 No. 8 Warrior For Peace

He showed potential last autumn with a slick debut win followed by a runner-up finish at the Gold Coast.

Warrior For Peace was then thrown in the deep end for the Group 2 Queensland Guineas.

Win two came via an eye-catching performance on Scone Cup Day, taking out a strong Class 1 that has produced multiple city winners, including the runner-up Brave Call, who has been BM78 successful at his last two starts.

That all bodes very well for Highway company with a lightly raced Warrior For Peace.

He arguably should have saluted second-up a fortnight ago when held up before flashing home late for fourth.

Myplates Handicap Tips (Race 4)

Randwick Best Bet - Race 4 No. 4 Sovereign Hill

A well-bred four-year-old by Written Tycoon and out of a half-sister to Group 1 winner Music Magnate, Sovereign Hill was a promising juvenile.

He recorded a big debut win as an early two-year-old and rounded out that season with two placings at metro level.

The jury was out after a year off the scene and two failed winter runs last year.

The Waterhouse and Bott yard now have him firing with a pair of strong back-to-back summer wins to open his campaign.

He handled the rise to this grade comfortably on January 31 and, despite a 3kg penalty, there could still be improvement third-up, with a map to control from the front again.

TAB Light Fingers Stakes Tips (Race 6)

Randwick Feature Bet - Race 6 No. 1 Apocalyptic

It will be interesting to see who starts shorter out of Apocalyptic and Autumn Glow, who are both short-priced elects for their respective Group 2 features.

Perhaps it is this Michael Freedman-trained filly, given she is against her own age and sex under set weights.

She easily proved the pick of the Sydney fillies earlier in the season when dominating the Princess Series.

Apocalyptic narrowly missed a perfect spring when beaten by Ole Dancer in the Group 1 Thousand Guineas, with the second and third home in that 1600m feature both winning Group races at their next starts.

On paper this is a weaker assignment, and while she may be most vulnerable fresh at 1200m against race-fit opposition, she remains the clear starting point.

Robrick Lodge Triscay Stakes Tips (Race 9)

Randwick Value Bet - Race 9 No. 10 Lilac

With weight off her main threats, Lilac looks very well placed on paper if she can rediscover her three-year-old form.

The daughter of Justify was very consistent throughout last season, culminating in a Group 3 triumph at Randwick.

Her prior references against Lady Shenandoah and Lady Camelot read strongly for this.

The knock is her sole spring appearance in the Sheraco Stakes, where she put in a shocker before being quickly spelled.

Leading into Saturday’s resumption, two Warwick Farm trials have been completed, and she won the latest in decent time for the February 3 set, and she is likely to roll forward despite drawing wide.

Randwick Roughie - Race 10 No. 8 Movin Out

She did not come up in spring, hence the big price available first-up for Movin Out.

The Chris Waller-trained mare has been ticking over nicely in her trials.

After racing almost exclusively at Group level as a three-year-old and early four-year-old, kicking off in a BM88 is much softer placement.

Despite some decent efforts when tried over further, exposed form suggests she is not as effective beyond a mile.

The 1300m starting point looks suitable and, in an open race to finish at Randwick, Movin Out has the class to figure.
