The February 4 fresh run caught the eye, with the gelding overcoming some trouble to run third and record the fastest closing sectionals of that Ascot event.
He is still lightly raced for a five-year-old, with just 11 starts, so there remains upside with this profile.
True Player is a fresh horse on the scene against some key rivals who have been racing against each other and are deeper into their preparations.
Drawing wider is no knock, as he is a galloper who needs momentum rather than being saved for a sprint.
Duncan Equine Group Handicap Tips (Race 4)
Pinjarra Favourite - Race 4 No. 1 All Grunt
With a sharp rise to an unknown journey, there are obvious queries for All Grunt.
However, he is comfortably the class horse of the race, and this is a sharp drop in grade on the seven-day turnaround.
All Grunt comes right back to a One Metro Win affair after contesting a 72+ last Saturday.
The four-year-old has been competitive in two outings following an unlucky first-up attempt, and all performances this campaign indicate he is looking for more ground.
While yet to tick the distance box, he was stakes placed as a beaten favourite in his only try past a mile and is now approaching peak fitness fourth-up.
Thoroughbred Breeders WA F&M Classic Tips (Race 6)
Pinjarra Best Bet - Race 6 No. 6 Galway Shawl
Galway Shawl makes her first appearance in Saturday metro company and brings a tidy record of four wins from five starts, with excuses in her sole defeat.
Her January 26 return victory was the pick of them, as she was slow away yet still produced a soft win after spotting them a start in a slowly run affair.
That Australia Day success came under a bigger weight, and she drops 2.5kg here.
Her tactical versatility gives Jason Whiting options from a middle draw.
Tougher company awaits, but this is not a vintage event against her own sex.
Magic Millions WA 3yo Trophy Tips (Race 8)
Pinjarra Feature Bet - Race 8 No. 11 Hard Solo
There does not appear to be much depth to this three-year-old feature.
Despite another wide draw and remaining at 1200m off a fresh flop, Heeza Phoenix is still the one to beat, with a tick-over trial suggesting he remains on track.
Prior to that January 24 assignment, the only horse to beat him was King Of Light, who would be Winx odds here.
Around $5 looks fair enough to forgive one poor run.
Hard Solo could be the forgotten horse fresh, with her last six-furlong run a luckless sixth in the Placid Ark before failing at a mile in the WA Guineas and then being badly held up when back to 1400m in early December.
