Miss Veuve was simply run off her feet over 1200m first-up here in the Fillies and Mares Classic on Magic Millions Day.

The daughter of Lucas Cranach improved second-up behind the in-form all-the-way winner Safedeel at Bunbury on February 26.

She came from the rear to finish fifth while recording the race’s fastest closing sectionals.

There was promise shown last campaign with a Northam breakthrough over a mile before two seconds, the first behind Battle Commander.
