Seven races will be contested at Moruya on Tuesday, September 15.

The track is currently rated a Good 4, with rain expected and the rail out three metres from the 1000m to the 380m before a cutaway applies.

Best Bet


Race 2 No. 4 Hampton Style

There was enough ability shown by Hampton Style through two starts last preparation, with the mare finishing fourth on both occasions.

The better of those efforts came on debut over 1000m at Gundagai in April, where she was beaten just over three lengths on a wet surface.

The daughter of Snitzel resumed at Goulburn last month with a runner-up finish on Soft ground, beaten just under four-and-a-half lengths over 1200m.

Quicker conditions at Moruya should pose no issue, while the inside draw gives her every chance to settle close to the speed.

Jess Taylor takes the ride for the first time and, with improvement expected from that first-up effort, Hampton Style looks well placed to strike for trainer Joe Cleary.

Race 4 No. 8 Restless Spirit

Restless Spirit broke his maiden at Forbes first-up this preparation and has attracted support to record his second career victory.

The three-year-old then showed he can be competitive at Class 1 level when finishing fourth at Goulburn three weeks later, with both runs coming on Good ground.

Dale Cole’s mount has been backed into $2.45 with Unibet Australia after $3.70 was available earlier in betting, indicating solid early support.

Mitchell Beer and George Carpenter boast a 23% strike rate at Moruya in 2026, with six winners from 23 starters, and they are represented in three races on Tuesday.

Their first runner is Yamashita in Race 3, which is named in honour of the stable, with Pierre Boudvillain booked to ride.

Beer and Carpenter are then double-handed in Race 4 with Dubai Adventure and Perchance, before Dumebi and Barbarossa line up for the stable in the concluding event.
