Cranbourne Tips for January 28

Browns Sawdust & Shavings Maiden Plate Tips (Race 3)

Cranbourne Best Bet - Race 3 No. 4 Holy Spirit

This Deep Field mare returns for her third prep and hopefully the one where she can break the duck as she is bred to have some sort of ability.

Her issue is that she gets out of her ground, but with the rail out seven metres, these backmarkers should have their chance to blend in and attack the line.

Holy Spirit has been tuned up for this with three jumpouts and with a touch of luck due to that negative racing pattern, I feel her quality will shine through late.

Cranbourne Next Best Bet - Race 6 No. 4 Carry On Camping

Forgive and forget his last start run at Yarra Valley, where he was never given a chance to get into the race when out the back all the way.

Prior, he really made a mark when bolting in a maiden by six lengths and started at an even money quote last time, so the opinion is clearly high.

He now comes back to BM58 class and to a race where we should not see too much pressure, so Carry On Camping can take a more forward spot in running,

Cranbourne Value Bet - Race 7 No. 5 Governor Landy

You can't go wrong backing this Noonan gelding each-way, with such a consistent record and some reasonably good form around him.

Governor Landy was good first-up behind subsequent winner Midwest and Sniper Legend, while it was a massive forgive effort at Stony Creek when well out of his own ground.

The Caulfield race last start was just too strong overall and dominated on pace, but expecting this to be much more up his alley.
