Ascot Best Bet - Race 4 No. 5 Bohemian Diamond
It has been a terrific start to 2026 for trainer Dan Morton, who has prepared 12 winners since the beginning of January at a 28% strike rate.
Five of those victories have come from 15 February starters, highlighting the stable’s continued momentum.
Morton prepares Bohemian Diamond, a lightly raced five-year-old who has been kept on the fresh side since a first-up triumph on January 24 in One Metro Win company.
While her previous campaign tapered off after a return win, she had excuses after covering ground second-up and then failing to handle a Heavy 9 at Pinjarra on June 21.
Her second-up run early in the 2024 spring resulted in a strong win, and she looks capable of repeating that pattern here.
Croser Sparkling Handicap Tips (Race 5)
Ascot Next Best Bet - Race 5 No. 7 Immortal Bliss
Another contender from the flying Dan Morton yard is Immortal Bliss, who appears to be building towards a peak performance third-up.
Although beaten as favourite first-up on New Year’s Day, there was merit in the effort when finishing third in an otherwise on-speed dominated race.
Second-up in the Mount Barker Sprint, an in-form and fitter winner capitalised on a saloon passage, but Immortal Bliss still recorded the fastest last 800m, 600m and 400m of the $100,000 event.
There is decent opposition in this 72+ contest, though he draws low and maps to get every chance.
The slight drop in distance looks a positive, and he profiles as a major player.

Ascot Value Bet - Race 6 No. 1 Snazzler
With no prior first or second-up wins and having been prepared as a middle-distance or staying type throughout a long previous campaign, little was expected early in the preparation from Snazzler.
He had two runs within a seven-day period before being specked at odds in the Ascot Mile on January 31.
That performance produced the fastest last 800m, 600m and 400m of the race and suggested he was trending in the right direction.
While he rises quickly to 2200m, the son of Mahuta went from 1600m to 2000m when runner-up last winter before winning over this trip.
That victory also came in this grade, carrying half a kilo more than he carries here.
Reliable Asset - Detonator Stakes Tips (Race 8)
Ascot Feature Bet - Race 8 No. 13 Redback Flyer
Redback Flyer is a talented four-year-old with upside who has won five of 11 starts, including two from three this campaign.
The first of those victories came in a strong 60+ on Northerly Stakes Day, with the handy Our Paladin Al among the beaten brigade.
He was not disgraced in a flatter second-up performance, and the gap between runs after December 20 suggested there may have been a minor setback.
Despite that interruption, he won a tight duel against Cashel Palace on January 31.
The extra 200m and the 2.5kg drop in weight for this Listed assignment both look significant positives.
