Taylor Fritz vs Aleksandar Vukic Tips, Prediction & Live Stream - Fritz set for rare progress into Paris third round

Fritz has traditionally struggled at the Paris Masters - he's failed to go beyond the second round stage in five of his six previous main draw appearances, with his best result coming in 2021 when he advanced to the quarter-finals. The American hasn't been at his best lately and is still waiting to confirm his participation at the ATP Finals, losing in the third round of Shanghai and the second round of Basel last week. Meanwhile, Vukic has endured a rough year, dropping out of the top 100, but he's salvaging it late by qualifying for the Paris Masters and winning a round, propelling his live ranking back up into the 90s.

Although he's down on form, I can't see Fritz losing this one. Vukic is 0-5 against top five players in his career, winning only one set. The American has won all three previous meetings and should extend that record with minimal fuss in Paris.

Fritz leads 3-0, prevailing 6-3 6-2 in their most-recent clash earlier this year in Washington.

Fritz comes into this clash with a 51-20 record on the season - one of only a handful of players to have racked up a half-century of match wins in 2025, maintaining a top four ranking as a result.

The American really picked things up during the grass swing, where he won titles in Stuttgart and Eastbourne before making the Wimbledon semi-finals.

However, after a run to the final in Tokyo (where he was beaten by Carlos Alcaraz), Fritz has struggled for his best tennis.

Fritz went down to Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in straight sets in the third round of Shanghai before falling in straights to Ugo Humbert in the second round of Basel last week.

Having reached the final of the ATP Finals last year, Fritz is under some pressure to perform over the coming weeks.

It hasn't been a great year for Vukic - he's registered a 14-27 record at tour-level, dropping from a career-high ranking of No. 48 to outside the top 100.

Indeed, Vukic has only won back-to-back matches at tour-level events three times throughout 2025.

However, the Aussie is putting together a decent end to the year and is back inside the top 100 in the live rankings.

Vukic made the quarter-finals of the ATP 500 event in Tokyo from qualifying and has again qualified for the main draw of the Paris Masters before edging past Cincinnati semi-finalist Terence Atmane in three sets in the opening round.
