Cameron Norrie vs Valentin Vacherot Tips, Prediction & Live Stream - Norrie to end Vacherot's winning streak in R16

The Paris Masters sees an exciting R16 match-up between Cameron Norrie and Valentin Vacherot. Vacherot is on an 11-match winning streak at the Masters 1000 level, having recently triumphed in Shanghai. Norrie, with a solid 30-24 record this season, achieved a career milestone by defeating World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz in the previous round. With Norrie's unorthodox style and recent form, he is favored to end Vacherot's streak. Although Vacherot has performed exceptionally, the demanding schedule and lack of rest put him at a disadvantage against the resilient Brit.

Cameron Norrie vs Valentin Vacherot Tips, Prediction & Live Stream

Can Valentin Vacherot keep his extraordinary Masters 1000 winning streak going when he comes up against Cameron Norrie in the R16 in Paris on Thursday?

Vacherot has now won 11 matches on the trot at Masters 1000 level, backing up his incredible title triumph in Shanghai by beating both Jiri Lehecka and cousin Arthur Rinderknech to reach the R16 in Paris. It's one of the most insane stories in recent tennis memory, but I've got some doubts for Vacherot in this clash.

Norrie is as tricky and unorthodox as they come. The Brit is also a surprise Masters 1000 champion after taking out Indian Wells in 2021, while he heads into this encounter having notched up the biggest win of his career, conquering World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz in the previous round. My one concern for Vacherot is competing at this level with no rest day, which he had the luxury of in Shanghai. Asking him to back up after the emotion of the last few weeks and yesterday against his cousin once more - which was a very erratic and error-ridden match from both - is a tall order. Norrie is the ultimate professional and I think he advances into the quarter-finals here.

Head To Head

This will be the first career meeting between the pair.

Cameron Norrie Form

Norrie comes into this contest with a 30-24 record on the season and set to climb back inside the world's top 30 after a very solid year.

Ranked outside the top 90 in May due to injury, Norrie has turned his season around over the last few months and is showing glimpses of the tennis that saw him surge into the top 10 and claim Masters 1000 honours.

The Brit's best work came on natural surfaces, reaching the semi-finals of Geneva, the R16 of Roland Garros and the quarter-finals of Wimbledon, while he also made the third round of the US Open.

However, arguably the biggest moment of his career came this week in Paris, where after beating Seb Baez in the opening round, Norrie secured his first ever victory over a World No. 1 by edging out Carlos Alcaraz 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, ending the Spaniard's 17-match winning streak at Masters 1000 level.

Valentin Vacherot Form

It's been an absolutely incredible last month for Vacherot, who has risen from outside the world's top 200 and into the top 40 - and who knows, a few more wins in Paris and he could be inside the top 20 and seeded for the Australian Open.

Vacherot has registered a 9-2 record against top 50 players in 2025 and has an overall tour-level record of 14-3 - with the obvious highlight coming in Shanghai when he came all the way from qualifying to take home the title, beating Novak Djokovic along the way.

The 26-year-old has done an excellent job of proving that run was no fluke, which is just as hard as his Shanghai run itself.

Vacherot pushed Taylor Fritz to three sets in Basel before continuing his amazing Masters 1000 form in Paris, crushing Jiri Lehecka in straight sets before beating Rinderknech again, surviving a topsy-turvy match to prevail 6-7 6-3 6-4.

Verdict

I think this is where Vacherot's Masters 1000 run comes to an end.

Norrie is such a tough competitor and won't give him anything. Norrie has also enjoyed a day off, while Vacherot needs to back up after a three-hour marathon. Backing the Brit in three.
