But results at the big tournaments are lacking - Humbert hasn't made it past the R16 of a Masters or second round of a slam so far this year, something he will be hoping to change over the coming month in North America.
Humbert is unbeaten in Washington after being forced to withdraw in the quarter-finals of his only previous appearance in 2023. The Frenchman had a nice draw in his opening round and was untroubled in a 6-2 7-5 victory over No. 385 qualifier Andres Martin.
