Sydney FC look to keep pace with the top two when they cross the Tasman to face Wellington Phoenix to conclude A-League Round 19 on Sunday.
Phoenix are in all sorts following their 5-0 thrashing at the hands of rivals Auckland in the Kiwi Clasico last week, with Giancarlo Italiano resigning immediately after the defeat. Club legend Chris Greenacre will take charge until the end of the season and he has a lot of work to do in order to get Wellington's faint finals hopes back on track. Sydney meanwhile secured three points against Brisbane last week, but it wasn't pretty - they have rising playmaker Thiago Quintal to thank for the win, with the 19-year-old scoring a rocket to continue his blistering recent form.
This looks like a great chance for Sydney to find some form again in the final third. Phoenix are in shambles and they've conceded 2+ goals in their last four home outings. Sydney don't have a great recent record against Wellington, but I just can't back the hosts after last week's disaster-class. Backing overs is the way to go here. Quintal can continue his red-hot goalscoring form and inspire his side to back-to-back victories.

It's been a dire run of form, with Wellington going winless in their last five games and leaking 16 goals in the process.
It all came to a head last week as Phoenix lost another derby to Auckland, suffering a crushing 5-0 defeat, which resulted in Giancarlo Italiano stepping down.
Chris Greenacre now steps into the interim role for the fourth time at the Nix.
“It’s not the first time I’ve done this, but it doesn’t get any easier,” Greenacre said on his first day in charge.
“Coming in this morning was quite difficult for me. We have to move on quickly as a club."

Sydney FC Form Analysis
Sydney haven't really played their best football for most of the season, but they remain in third spot on the ladder and well within a shot at finishing in the top two.
With just two wins from their last seven games and four defeats mixed in, Sydney definitely have room for improvement ahead of the finals.
The Sky Blues did return to the winners circle last week, but it was a far from convincing performance.
