The Wests Tigers are set to face the Manly Sea Eagles in a crucial NRL Round 24 match at Allianz Stadium. With the Tigers hoping to make the finals, they head into this game with renewed confidence after recent wins and a strong lineup. Meanwhile, the Sea Eagles have struggled lately, losing their last three games by significant margins and battling internal issues. Despite their head-to-head advantage, Manly's inconsistent form positions the Tigers as potential winners, especially with the return of key players and the impressive try record of Api Koroisau.

Wests Tigers vs Manly Sea Eagles, NRL Round 24 - Expert Prediction

Can the Wests Tigers keep their faint finals hopes alive when they face a slumping Manly Sea Eagles side on Sunday afternoon at Allianz Stadium?

I'm keen to go all in on the Tigers for the upset and there's a couple of reasons why.

Firstly, I think Manly are done for 2025. The DCE saga has affected them all season, and while at times it appeared as if they'd steadied the ship, they've lost their last three games by 13+ margins since upsetting the Storm at AAMI Park in Round 20. They're still very much in the finals race, but I just don't see it happening.

Secondly, the Tigers are playing great footy. They have their best players back on deck, with Jahreem Bula, Jarome Luai, Adam Doueihi and Api Koroisau forming a very solid spine. Taylan May has also added some more spark to the backline. Benji Marshall's team is coming off a bye and a thumping win over the high-flying Bulldogs, while six of the Tigers' eight wins have come on a Sunday afternoon this season - they clearly love this timeslot, so they will be keen to put on a show in sunny conditions at Allianz here.

Koroisau has a fantastic try-scoring record in this matchup and if the Sea Eagles throw in the towel (eight of their 11 losses in 2025 have been by 13+ margins), then he could easily scoot over from dummy-half against some soft defence.

  • Sea Eagles are on a three-game losing streak
  • Eight of the Sea Eagles' 11 losses this season have been by 13+ margins
  • Tigers have won two of their last three games, including beating the Dogs by 14 points
  • Sea Eagles have lost five of their last six away games
  • Sea Eagles were throttled 42-4 by the Bulldogs in their most-recent game at Allianz
  • Six of the Tigers' eight wins in 2025 have come on a Sunday afternoon
  • Api Koroisau has scored a try in four of his last five appearances vs Sea Eagles

Head To Head

Manly have won seven of their last eight games against the Tigers, including a 28-10 victory back in Round 17 at Brookvale - but the Tigers were missing several stars in what was one of the worst quality games of the year.

Wests Tigers Form Analysis

They couldn't, could they?

After a dismal patch, the Tigers have emerged on the other side and are playing some solid footy, winning three of their last six games and only four points outside of the top eight.

However, with their terrible points differential of -121, they will basically need to win all of their remaining games and hope other results go their way. Beating the 10th-placed Sea Eagles would be a great start.

The Tigers brought incredible intensity into the 'Lachie Galvin Cup' in their most-recent game against Canterbury and if they could produce that type of performance every week, they would probably already be in the eight. Fresh off the bye last week, the Tigers are positioned nicely for a big end to the year.

Manly Sea Eagles Form Analysis

It's been a wildly inconsistent season for Manly, so really nothing's changed.

Only the Sea Eagles could go from upsetting the Storm in Melbourne to losing their next three games by 13+ margins - and with their season on the line too.

Manly are still in with a very real shot at featuring in the finals, but the vibes don't feel good at Brookvale heading into the final few rounds of the season.

To be fair to Manly, they've had a very tough draw, going down to the Bulldogs, an in-form Roosters side and top-of-the-table Canberra.

Manly have lost their last three games by 13+ margins and the Tigers have their tails up, playing some of their best footy of the season.

Going to back the upset here, with Api Koroisau good value to extend his great tryscoring run against Manly.
