The 2025 NRL season moves into Round 24 this week with eight games taking place from August 14-17. Tony Moley Adams previews all eight matches and provides his best bet.

Panthers vs Storm

What a game this shapes up as - the two premiership heavyweights a month before the finals. The Panthers are chasing 10 straight wins and a top four berth and at home, could be too strong against a weakened Storm side.

Warriors vs Dragons

The Dragons are proving a nuisance team to clubs chasing finals spots and could make life tough for the Warriors, who have lost three on the bounce. Another defeat and the Wahs could miss the finals - I think they will lift at home with hooker Wayde Egan back in the line-up.

Roosters vs Bulldogs

The Roosters scored 60 points away from home for the first time in 90 years in smashing the Dolphins last week and could not have been more impressive. But the Bulldogs are also a team in form and they look to have a bit more fire-power up front in this one.

Sharks vs Titans

The Sharks have lost their way in recent weeks, with halves Nicho Hynes and Brayden Trindall both going off the boil. The Titans were unlucky to lose to Souths in the wooden spoon bowl last week and I think they may struggle to win another game in 2025.

Broncos vs Dolphins

The Broncos lost three key players - including halves Adam Reynolds and Ezra Mam - to hamstring injuries last week so this will be a real test of their depth. But the Phins also have their problems, still licking their wounds after having 60 points put past them by the Roosters at home last week.

Rabbitohs vs Eels

Two teams out of the finals race yet both managed good wins last week. Souths are slowly getting players back after a cruel season with injury but the Eels, with Mitch Moses in top form, look too strong on paper.

Wests vs Sea Eagles

Manly’s final hopes are fading fast and the Tigers could put the final nail in their coffin with a win on Sunday. The Sea Eagles should win - but the way they have been playing, you can’t tip them with a lot of confidence.

Cowboys vs Knights

Both teams now out of finals contention, although the Cowboys could mathematically get there if you believe in miracles. All eyes will be on Knights fullback Connor Votano in his NRL debut but in far north Queensland, the Cowboys should just get the points.
