Melbourne Storm Form Analysis

The Storm were pushed to the limit last Thursday by the Roosters eventually winning 34-30 thanks to a 73rd minute try to Stefano Utoikamanu.

Already without Cam Munster, Melbourne lost Jahrome Hughes to a dislocated shoulder midway through the match forcing a reshuffle in the halves. It didn’t deter them though as they fought tooth and nail, completing 33 of 36 sets to outlast their opponent.

Melbourne are currently 3rd on the ladder and despite missing 37 Tackles against the Roosters, still top the rankings on the season with fewest missed tackles of any team in the league.

A couple of important additions to the Storm side now Jahrome Hughes will likely miss the remainder of the regular season. Ryan Papenhuyzen slots back in at fullback with Nick Meaney returning to his usual role at centre. Kane Bradley makes way.

Cam Munster is also back at five-eighth with Tyran Wishart moving to the vacant halfback role.

Jonah Pezet has been named on the bench while Trent Loiero has been given the week off, replaced in the starting side by Tui Kamikamica.
