The Broncos had one of the worst possible starts to their season going down 26-0 to the Penrith Panthers on Friday night at Suncorp Stadium.

It was the first time since June 2021 that Brisbane had been kept to nil at Suncorp and just the 2nd time since the beginning of the 2019 season. They completed just 22 of 36 sets and were dominated in Run Metres, Post Contact Metres and Tackle Breaks.
