Rosehill Favourite - Race 3 No. 7 Cambar

This resuming youngster will be trying to put his case forward for The Kosciuszko and he's been given time since a Wagga failure in February, where there was excuses (shine soreness).

Cambar won his first three starts over a spaced out first campaign, which includes a Heavy 9 triumph on debut and a Soft 7 success when taking out a Rosehill Highway in November.

His lead-up work in July has been sharp, with a cruisy trial victory over a handy stablemate (Another One) before an 900m Albury heat win on a Soft 7 via his last hit-out.

Rosehill Value Bet - Race 5 No. 8 Totoka

She wasn't suited last time when getting back in slowly-run BM78, where Totoka was left flatfooted at the rear of the field when the sprint went on, but she picked up late.

The daughter of Brutal was five weeks between runs in that July 19 attempt, which followed a somewhat plain performance on June 14, however, her prior form reads well for this.

There's always been an opinion of Totoka, with some aggressive placements over her earlier campaigns and now from a low draw in a BM72, she finds her right race.

Rosehill Next Best Bet - Race 6 No. 1 Welwal

Four of his five victories have come on rain affected ground, which includes his Australian highlight when saluting at Group 3 level last November on a Heavy 8.

Welwal didn't have much luck last time out at Rosehill, where he was held-up from the 400m to the 150m of the home straight when kept in a pocket and this event is a touch weaker overall.

Two starts back at Randwick, he was taking late ground off Headley Grange (second fav here) and from that June 21 clash, Welwal meets Headley Grange 4kg better off at the weights.

Rosehill Best Bet - Race 9 No. 12 Yoshinobu

This Archibald-trained galloper showed promise last season as an early three-year-old, with a double recorded before a third-place finish in the Group 2 Roman Consul Stakes.

He wasn't able to progress in four subsequent outings and after a frustrating autumn prep when campaigning in Listed company, Yoshinobu was spelled and gelded ahead of his winter return.

There was nervous moments first-up on July 19 before the gap came and while it wasn't a big margin win, that BM78 rated well and he's now down in the weights with improvement to come.

Rosehill Roughie - Race 10 No. 10 Herbert Park

She's an out-and-out wet tracker and when conditions suit, Herbert Park is a genuine city class sprinter, which was evident last time in when recording back-to-back metro wins.

Her winter return on a Good 4 was fair and despite rising in grade second-up, she was a big improver at Caulfield on June 28, while a drop in trip and a firmer track were negatives third-up.

Herbert Park is probably a rung below this level if the track stays in the Soft 5 range, but the predicted rain on Friday and Saturday brings the Victorian right into calculations.
