This son of Impending first caught the eye in a Terang jump-out on January 5 when runner-up behind three-time winner Tangoette, with the four-year-old working through his gears impressively under a hold.
He was then given more time before another Geelong jump-out on May 13 and made his debut over 1212m on that same circuit on June 4.
Set a task from back in the field, he was hard to miss late, recording the fastest final 400m and 200m of the entire program.
That maiden was taken out by Bold Secret, a talented galloper who had blinkers applied there before finishing runner-up at his latest start in Adelaide, while he also heads the market for a race there on Saturday.
With a few more favours and any natural improvement at start two, Just Like Jagger can go one better on Friday.

He's been terrific without luck in two winter appearances, starting with a June 7 resumption at Swan Hill when he was buried away from an inside draw before rattling home for fourth after being held up until the 200m.
He went one better when third at Bendigo on June 25, although his fortunes were no better after being held up until the 100m before launching late.
That Benchmark 62 was won by Weapon Clear, who placed in a metropolitan Benchmark 70 at Sandown on Wednesday, while runner-up Da Nang Star filled the same placing at his next appearance after rising in grade.
The three-year-old won his only previous attempt at Mildura, while the wider alley should suit, given his racing pattern.
John Allen takes the ride this time and was aboard for Surprisatic's Werribee victory back in December.

Mildura Feature Bets - Race 7 No. 1 Run Harry Run & No. 2 Sav On Ice
Heading the early Mildura Cup market is Run Harry Run, a resuming galloper from the Hayes stable who has won his past three jump-outs following two May heats and a pair of Flemington jump-outs in June and July.
The five-year-old resumed with victory in the Ararat Bowl last spring carrying 61kg before chasing home the smart Persian Spirit at Pakenham.
He looks very well placed for this first-up assignment and appears forward enough to run a bold race.
One to keep an eye on at a big price is Sav On Ice, who resumes for Garret Lynch after being gelded, with no public trial ahead of his stable debut.
He failed to fire in Listed company last spring or in stakes grade during autumn, although his previous campaign included a winning hat-trick highlighted by Listed Balaklava Cup success, and he may prove the most talented galloper in the field at attractive odds.
