Happy Valley Value Bet - Race 4 No. 9 Rewarding Twinkle

There have been more encouraging signs following two failures to open his career and the pick of his subsequent performances have both come fresh.

Rewarding Twinkle was in restricted room via a 2.5-length defeat on March 5 (should've finished closer) and he was then checked at a key stage on April 2.

The Frankie Lor-trained galloper has been given some time since that last outing over this track/trip and he worked home nicely via a 1050m trial on May 16.

A shadow roll has been applied for Wednesday's assignment and now getting down in the weights for Class 4 company, he can pounce off a good tempo.

The Sauternes's Cup Tips (Race 5)

Happy Valley Roughie - Race 5 No. 5 Sight Supreme

All three runs last campaign were completed on the Sha Tin All-Weather track and he was consistent over that prep, which includes a first-up win.

The lightly raced four-year-old has completed two very quiet trials since his last run on January 26 and Sight Supreme stays at 1650m for this resumption.

He was mainly campaigning over sprint trips over his first prep and there were decent turf efforts (made ground in a leader-dominated race at start four).

Brenton Avdulla has been the main hoop for the John Size stable this season, with the pair having combined for 14 winners so far in the 2024/25 period.

Ciron Handicap Tips (Race 6)

Happy Valley Best Bet - Race 6 No. 2 Young Arrow

He was a debut winner in Singapore before joining the Douglas Whyte yard and Young Arrow has been competitive in most Hong Kong appearances.

The son of Showtime has contested ten Class 3 events and while he looks up to that level, connections are looking for a softer kill with this Class 4 placement.

Young Arrow has been kept on the fresh side since a seventh-of-twelve finish at Happy Valley on April 9 and he arrives here off a runner-up in a May 8 trial.

Hugh Bowman is on Young Arrow (he was aboard in the recent workout) and he's striking at just under 26% for the Douglas Whyte stable this season.

Garonne Handicap Tips (Race 8)

Happy Valley Next Best Bet - Race 8 No. 3 Sky Vino

This three-year-old hasn't finished outside of the top four in seven outings following a debut flop and he saluted via a similar event four starts back.

Sky Vino was unlucky not go back-to-back, as he covered ground in a half-length on March 23 and the gelding then worked on the speed two starts ago.

He was the pick of the on-speed brigade last time out when third-of-twelve over this track/trip and the form from that April 23 event has stood-up quite well.

A drop weight favours Sky Vino this evening, who carries 3kg less after the Ellis Wong claim and the apprentice has ridden six winners for Caspar Fownes this season.
