Keiko Say was easy in the market ahead of her debut at Gatton on August 1 and she was ridden quietly, allowed to balance up before finding the line.

The sharp 860m proved too short on that occasion but the effort was a fair starting point and she improved when stretching to 1000m at the Sunshine Coast second-up.

She found the line well in that provincial maiden, suggesting the rise in distance here will be to her liking.

Now coming back to country level, she faces an easier assignment and should be able to find a more comfortable rhythm early.

This longer trip looks ideal for her progression and she shapes as a strong value chance.

Oakfield Pluto has the pedigree to be above average, being a half-brother to triple Group 3 winner Winter Bride and out of Group 2 winner Amberino.

He made a strong impression on debut at Taree on July 22 when winning comfortably despite racing greenly through the run.

At start two he stepped up to Benchmark 58 grade against older and more seasoned rivals and was only caught late after looking the winner.

That performance showed his natural talent and suggested a slightly firmer surface may suit him even better.

Back to Class 1 company here, he looks well placed to atone and continue his promising start to racing.

Full Regalia has returned in excellent order this preparation and looks well placed to build on his Grafton win last time out.

The Karen Owen-trained gelding was wide throughout on August 26 but still proved far too strong, pulling clear in the closing stages over 1415m.

His resuming run at Port Macquarie earlier in the month was full of merit, as he was held up at a vital stage when a weakening leader drifted back in his lap.

He has the tactical speed to settle near the front and that versatility will be an asset in this field.

Although he rises in the weights, the scale is compressed and he's capable of going on with it here.
