Race 9 No. 5 Infuriated

Now from a low draw and with three runs completed for the campaign, it's D-Day for Infuriated, who remains at 1600m for Wednesday's fourth-up assignment.

After finding the line well in a fast-run Bunbury event, Infuriated was back/held-up second-up and he was hard to miss late with the fastest last 200m of the January 8 card from Ascot.

He was a deserving odds-on fav when stepping to a mile last start and barriers played a big part in the result, as the winner box-seated from gate two and never went around a horse.

That recent form through No Peer reads well, as the winner completed a hat-trick via that Pinjarra contest before heading to Saturday grade and Infuriated has barrier one here.

Race 8 No. 1 The Hill Tribe

We were with The Hill Tribe second-up following a brave Pinjarra return and he was again luckless, with the four-year-old covering ground over seven furlongs and he was specked at a price.

There should be no excuses third-up, as the gelding has barrier four here and he'll also be suited by the rise in distance on Wednesday, with his two wins coming over a similar journey.

The Hill Tribe has some decent form from last year, which includes a narrow winter defeat when runner-up to History Won't Care (metro placed next start) and he won two starts later.

That July 10 triumph was recorded third-up and when backing up a week later, he was runner-up behind Cosmic Chaos, who franked that form with a Saturday win at his next start.

Market Mover:

It's been one-way traffic in the early markets with Ladbrokes for Wednesday's opener at Ascot.

After opening up at $3.90, Overdrive is now a $2.40 favourite.

The resuming three-year-old was a first-up winner last campaign before striking three wet tracks and she's won a January 28 trial leading into this return attempt.

Stats Say:
