India vs Australia Women Preview & Tips

India came out on the wrong side of arguably the result of the World Cup so far as they were stunned by South Africa in their last match.

Australia Women can move further clear at the top of the World Cup ladder if they can secure another win at the competition.

Australia have won nine of their last 10 50 over matches against India, with the latter winning one game in this time.

India Women Form

India Women could not better South Africa with bat or ball in their last outing as they slipped to a three wicket loss at the hands of their opponents. It will be hugely worrying for India that a team that lost by 10 wickets to England was able to notch a big win over them.

Of course, it is not all doom and gloom for India. They have won two of their opening three and will still be big favourites to be one of the four sides to make the semi-finals. However, a second consecutive defeat will seem like a major wobble for a side many tip to lift the trophy this year.

With nine defeats in their last 10 in the ODI format against Australia, I am bot backing India to get a win in this one. Their poor performance with bat and ball against South Africa will have the Aussies excited to take to the middle in their clash.

Australia Women Form

Australia Women have been excellent at the Cricket World Cup, going unbeaten after notching two wins and a no result.

Frustratingly, their no result against Sri Lanka came via the weather, with most agreeing that the Aussies would have eased past their opponents. Despite the no result, Australia have not lost any momentum on the pitch, with their 107 run win over Pakistan one that saw their bowlers in particular shine.

Now, with the chance to hit India with another blow after their loss to South Africa, I back the Aussies to make it three wins in three completed games. Beth Mooney shone against Pakistan battling her way to 109. With most other batters struggling to get going on a bowler-friendly pitch, her score put on full display how good she is. I back her to star once again.
