Australia Women have not take any prisoners at the 2025 Cricket World Cup only being denied six consecutive wins by the weather.

South Africa could leapfrog the Aussies and finish at the top of the ladder if they can secure a win over their opponents.

Australia Women looked to be teetering on the verge of a first defeat at the 2025 CWC, but they rallied incredibly well against England to go from 24/3 to reaching their target with six wickets and 57 balls to spare.

To restrict a dangerous England side to just 244/9 in their 50 overs and to then cruise to their total was hugely impressive, and it shows just how much better Australia are than any other side at the competition. While South Africa will give them a good workout, I see nothing other than an Aussie win in their final group game.

Annabel Sutherland is our pick to star once again. Not content with taking 3/60 with the ball against England, she then went on to score a match-winning 98 not out, and I back her to star once again.

South Africa Women have been very strong across the World Cup, but the demons of their 10-wicket loss to England in game one will be as prevalent as ever heading into their final group game.

Their last match ended in a commanding 150-run win over Pakistan, but the quality of opponent is cranked as high as it goes in this one. Indeed, Pakistan sit at the bottom of the table, and their next game sees them battling the top team.

While South Africa will likely have their moments with a batting and bowling lineup that has impressed, I am backing against them getting anything from this game as the miss the chance to move to the top of the ladder.
