In the upcoming Women's World Cup match, Australia Women are poised to secure their semi-final spot with a potential fourth win out of five matches. Ellyse Perry, an outstanding performer, is predicted to contribute significantly after her solid 47 not out in the last game. Australia has consistently defeated Bangladesh in previous encounters. Conversely, Bangladesh, after their initial victory over Pakistan, has struggled, losing subsequent matches against England, New Zealand, and South Africa. The task of overcoming Australia seems daunting for Bangladesh, who must now win consistently to keep their semi-final hopes alive.

Australia vs Bangladesh Women Preview & Tips

Australia Women can underline their World Cup semi-final spot with a fourth win in five matches.

Bangladesh Women need a big result against the Aussies after losing their last three at the competition.

  • Australia have won all four of their ODI matches against Bangladesh
  • Ellyse Perry scored 47 not out in Australia’s last fixture

Head To Head

Australia have won all four of their 50 over matches against their opponents.

Australia Women Form

Australia Women notched one of the results of the competition so far as they chased down India’s 330 with three wickets and six balls to spare.

Their result was underpinned by Alyssa Healy’s 142 from 107 and Annabel Sutherland’s 5/40 with the ball. In a game of epic proportions, two of Australia’s big-game players came up clutch yet again.

A fourth win in four completed games would rubber stamp their place in the semi-finals, and it would only strengthen their chances of taking on a weaker opponent by finishing in one of the top two places.

With four consecutive wins over their opponents in the 50 over game, I back Australia to easily notch another victory. I also back Ellyse Perry to score well once again. Her 47 not out was overshadowed by Healy’s stunning century, but she was the glue that kept the run chase together as the pressure mounted and the wickets began to tumble.

Bangladesh Women Form

Bangladesh Women have struggled for any kind of momentum at the 2025 World Cup, with their win over Pakistan in game one proving to be something of a false dawn for the side.

Since then, they have been beaten by England and New Zealand, with the latter a 100-run loss. Their defeat at the hands of South Africa in game four means they now need to win consistently if they are to snare an unlikely semi-final spot.

However, playing the best team in women’s cricket and needing to win are not two things that go together. I merely back another loss for Bangladesh as they are beaten for the fifth consecutive time by the Aussies in the ODI format.

Verdict

I am backing Ellyse Perry to go well with the bat as she leads Australia to an important win over Bangladesh.
