Coco Gauff and Mirra Andreeva clash in the Italian Open semi-finals in Rome. Gauff has a dominant track record against Andreeva, securing victories in all previous encounters, including a recent straight sets win in Madrid. Gauff's resilient form, characterized by a series of significant victories, positions her as a strong contender for the title. Andreeva, despite a successful season, has struggled to recapture her peak form since winning WTA 1000 titles. The match promises intense competition, available to stream live for sports fans.

Coco Gauff vs Mirra Andreeva Tips, Prediction & Live Stream

Coco Gauff and Mirra Andreeva square off for the second straight tournament as the pair clash for a place in the Italian Open semi-finals in Rome on Wednesday.

Gauff has enjoyed tremendous success against Andreeva in their growing H2H, winning all three previous meetings for the loss of just one set - including a dominant 7-5 6-1 victory in the Madrid quarter-finals earlier this month. Gauff has now won eight of her last nine matches on clay, with only World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka stopping her in the Madrid final.

Andreeva has put together a remarkable season, but she isn't playing at the same incredible level she was when securing WTA 1000 titles in Dubai and Indian Wells a couple of months ago. Can the 18-year-old find the solution to beating Gauff within such a sport space of time? I have my doubts - if Gauff produces the same level that saw her dismantle Emma Raducanu for the loss of just three games in the previous round, she'll be well on her way to another victory.

Head To Head

As mentioned, Gauff leads 3-0, winning their first two meetings in 2023 at Roland Garros and the US Open before last week's triumph in Madrid.

Coco Gauff Form

Gauff comes into this encounter with a 22-7 record on the season and hoping to secure her first title of 2025 in Rome.

The American finished 2024 with a bang, capturing the year-end WTA Finals title, but so far this year hasn't gone according to plan.

Indeed, Gauff failed to win more than two matches in a row after losing in the Australian Open quarter-finals and up until Madrid.

However, Gauff turned things around in the Spanish capital, recording some crushing wins - including a straight sets demolition of Iga Swiatek - while she's won six consecutive sets in Rome after dropping the opener against Victoria Mboko.

Gauff was a dominant 6-1 6-2 winner over Emma Raducanu in the R16, becoming the youngest player at 21 years of age to reach quarter-finals at four WTA 1000 clay events since the format's introduction in 2009.

Mirra Andreeva Form

Andreeva arrives at this contest with a brilliant 27-6 record on the season, rising to a current ranking of No. 7 in the world.

The 18-year-old made headlines with back-to-back WTA 1000 titles in Dubai and Indian Wells, where she beat Swiatek at both tournaments and Sabalenka in the final of the latter.

After running out of steam in Miami, Andreeva has been trying to recapture that sort of form ever since, going down in her second match in Stuttgart to Ekaterina Alexandrova and falling to Gauff in the Madrid quarter-finals.

Andreeva has advanced into her first Italian Open quarter-final this week, beating Linda Noskova in straight sets before overcoming Clara Tauson in three.

Verdict

Gauff beat Andreeva in straight sets in Madrid just over a week ago and not much has changed since, with the American continuing to operate at a high level.

Gauff is 3-0 in the H2H, so no reason to bet against the American in Rome.
