Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Hamad Medjedovic Tips, Prediction & Live Stream

Second seed Felix Auger-Aliassime is looking to make it back-to-back indoor titles this week as he prepares to face the unpredictable Hamad Medjedovic in the second round of Rotterdam on Thursday night.

Nobody has won more indoor matches than Auger-Aliassime this decade. The Canadian has registered an astonishing 90 match wins under the roof since 2020 and you'd be a brave man to bet against him in Rotterdam after Auger-Aliassime claimed the Montpellier silverware last week. The World No. 6 got his campaign off to a flawless start with a straight sets win over Alexei Popyrin, but he will have to be on guard against Medjedovic, who has entered the draw as a lucky loser and has nothing to lose - making him even more dangerous.

Medjedovic had the highest percentage of winners per shot than any other player last season (one in every 10 shots was a winner), giving you an idea of his wildly reckless brand of tennis. I don't think the Serbian is consistent enough to win or even take a set, but I don't mind the value of a tiebreak here. Medjedovic has seen at least one tiebreak in all but one of his six main draw matches this year, while Felix is also no stranger to tiebreaks in these conditions.
  • Auger-Aliassime has seen at least one tiebreak in seven of his last 11 indoors matches
  • Auger-Aliassime has won 28 of his last 34 completed matches
  • Auger-Aliassime has won 90 indoor matches this decade, the most of any player
  • Medjedovic has seen at least one tiebreak in five of his six main draw matches in 2026
  • Medjedovic has lost his last four matches vs top 10 players, with the last three coming in straight sets
  • Eight of Auger-Aliassime's last 10 wins have come in straight sets

Auger-Aliassime vs Medjedovic Head To Head

Auger-Aliassime leads 1-0, prevailing in three sets on the grass of Mallorca in 2025.

Felix Auger-Aliassime Form Analysis

  • 2026 Record: 6-2
  • ATP Rotterdam Record: 13-6
  • Current ATP Ranking: No. 6
  • Career-High Ranking: No. 5 (Nov 2025)

The early weeks of 2026 did not go to plan for Auger-Aliassime. He was beaten by Zizou Bergs at the United Cup before his Australian Open campaign ended abruptly, forced to retire against Nuno Borges after three sets due to cramping.

However, his return in Montpellier quickly shifted the narrative. Back on indoor courts - historically one of his strongest environments - the Canadian looked composed and dangerous once again, reminding the tour of his pedigree under a roof.

The 25-year-old conceded just a single set en route to his eighth indoor ATP title, overcoming Stan Wawrinka and Arthur Fils before defeating seasoned campaigner Adrian Mannarino in the final to underline his dominance in indoor conditions.

A former champion in Rotterdam back in 2022, Auger-Aliassime signalled his intent for more success at the ATP 500 tournament, easing past the slumping Alexei Popyrin 7-5 6-3 in his opening round.

Hamad Medjedovic Form Analysis

  • 2026 Record: 3-3
  • ATP Rotterdam Record: 1-0
  • Current Ranking: No. 79
  • Career-High Ranking: No. 57 (August 2025)

Medjedovic has top 20 potential, but his lack of fitness and wildly inconsistent game means he continues to hover between 50-100 in the rankings.

The 22-year-old demonstrated his immense talent when he took the opening set off Alex de Minaur in the second round of the Australian Open. However, his fitness issues once again surfaced and he won just five more games across the next three sets.

Medjedovic lost in the first round of Montpellier last week to 40-year-old Stan Wawrinka and went down in Rotterdam qualifying to World No. 219 Luka Pavlovic.

However, the Serbian gained entry into the main draw as a lucky loser, and playing without pressure freed up Medjedovic to swing freely as he registered a brilliant 7-6 7-6 upset of Zizou Bergs.
