Carlos Alcaraz vs Arthur Rinderknech Tips, Prediction & Live Stream

Carlos Alcaraz is riding the longest winning streak of his career as he prepares to face big-serving lucky loser Arthur Rinderknech in the Queen's Club quarter-finals on Friday.

Clearly fatigued and with limited preparation on grass heading into Queen's, Alcaraz has battled his way into the quarter-finals - and he could be in for another tough assignment in order to reach the final four. Alcaraz has won 15 matches on the bounce following his Rome and Roland Garros titles, along with reaching his last four finals in Monte Carlo and Barcelona earlier in the clay swing. It's understandable the Spaniard would be feeling fatigued, but he also wants to keep this momentum rolling for as long as possible.

Alcaraz played the fifth-longest three-set match of his career in the second round against Jaume Munar and needed to save two set points against another lucky loser in Adam Walton in his opener. He's clearly vulnerable right now, but can Rinderknech take advantage? I'm not sure if the Frenchman can pull off the win ($11 is tasty though), but with his massive serve on grass, he is very much capable of covering a +4.5 games line, while he's also good value to sneak a set - just like he's done in the two previous meetings between the pair.

Head To Head

Alcaraz leads 2-0, but both were big battles, prevailing in four sets in the second round of the 2021 US Open before a 46 75 76(3) win in the first round here in Queen's in 2023.

Carlos Alcaraz Form

Alcaraz has put together a 39-5 record this season, winning four titles and reclaiming the No. 2 ranking.

Unsurprisingly, a return to clay sparked Alcaraz back to his best tennis, with the Spaniard securing titles in Monte Carlo, Rome and Roland Garros, defeating Jannik Sinner in the last two, meaning he's now beaten the World No. 1 in the last five meetings between the pair.

Looking to make his fifth straight final, Alcaraz continues to battle away at Queen's despite clearly not being anywhere close to his best.

Alcaraz, who won the Queen's Club title in 2023, saved two set points in the second set to overcome Adam Walton 6-4 7-6 in his first round before recovering from wasting two set points in the second set against Jaume Munar and proceeding to comeback from 2-4 down in the decider to emerge a 6-4, 6-7(7), 7-5 in three hours and 23 minutes.

The Spaniard has now won 22 of his last 23 matches on grass.

Arthur Rinderknech Form

It's been a terrible season for Rinderknech, who arrived at Queen's Club with a 5-15 record at tour-level and down at No. 80 in the rankings, 40 spots off his career-high.

Rinderknech lost in the final round of Queen's qualifying to compatriot Corentin Moutet, but he received a slice of good fortune by entering the main draw as a lucky loser - and he's certainly made the most of his second opportunity.

Indeed, Rinderknech has taken the scalp of two big-serving Americans to reach the quarter-finals, toppling Ben Shelton and Reilly Opelka in straight sets.

This isn't an unfamiliar situation for Rinderknech - he was a Queen's lucky loser in 2023 and faced Alcaraz in the opening round, where he took the opening set before falling in a final set tiebreak.

Verdict

Rinderknech has taken a set off Alcaraz in each of their previous two meetings and he's primed to do so again.

Alcaraz needed to save set points vs Walton in R1 and was 2-4 down in the decider vs Munar in R2 - he's clearly battling right now, so Rinderknech and his big serve can do some damage on the Queen's lawns.
