South Sydney will cover the line and could even steal a victory in this round 4 matchup and it is not so much based on what they can and can’t do but rather on the Panthers. Penrith will be without Cleary and Edwards again and whilst Brad Schneider did a great job filling in and leading the team to victory last season in Cleary’s absence we now see Toelau coming to fill that role.

In my opinion this will create some havoc with the Penrith attack if South’s can pressure them similar to what they produced in the earlier two rounds of the season against the inexperienced halves of the Dolphins and Dragons.

The Panthers defence has been leaky giving up 90 points across their first 3 games. South Sydney have the firepower to put on points with Cody Walker starting to warm up for 2025 and the return of prolific tryscorer Alex Johnston on the wing.

Take the Bunnies on the line, have a flutter on the Moneyline if you feel bold. The total is a tough one so I am staying away but Johnston will be looking to bag one on his return, lock him in for an ATS with double money guaranteed across the board.

Jye Gray has avoided suspension despite being charged for a dangerous tackle on Siosifa Talakai last week and will line up again at fullback, with Latrell Mitchell still a few weeks away from returning.

The Bunnies get a boost with Alex Johnston returning from an Achilles injury, slotting onto the wing. That pushes Isaiah Tass back to the centres alongside Jack Wighton. Mikaele Ravalawa keeps his spot on the other edge after a solid late inclusion in Round 3.
