The Brisbane Broncos are favored to achieve a significant victory against the Gold Coast Titans in Round 19 of the 2025 NRL. After having early success against the Titans in their previous encounter, the Broncos are predicted to exploit the Titans' weak defense once again. With key players returning to strengthen the Broncos, a winning margin of 13+ points is anticipated, emphasizing their scoring potential, especially through Josiah Karapani. Meanwhile, the Gold Coast Titans continue to struggle defensively, making it an uphill battle for them in this matchup.

Brisbane’s season is revived and the Gold Coast are the Gold Coast and are fighting for the Wooden Spoon. The Broncos dusted up the Titans 44-14 in Round 14 and the same result is expected here.

With the Broncos looking like they will be full strength with after all their Origin players being named, I expect the points to flow on the league’s worst defensive line of the Titans. I am quite surprised that the team total is at a modest 28.5 for the Broncos, considering the Titans have allowed 30+ points in two-thirds of their matches this season.

With such poor defence, the Titans lose and do it in emphatic fashion, opening the flood gates for their opponents who win by large margins. Thus, Brisbane to score 30+ and win by a 13+ margin.

Josiah Karapani has made 4 appearances for the Broncos this season and has 6 tries in to his name, scoring in each match, including a double against the Titans in Round 14. Back the Broncos flyer for another or maybe even a couple in this one.

  • Brisbane have won their last 4 matches, averaging 31.5 points per match.
  • The Gold Coast are ranked 17th, allowing 30.4 points per game.
  • 8 of 11 Titans losses have been by a 13+ margin.
  • Josiah Karapani has scored in 3 straight games for Brisbane Broncos

Head to Head

Brisbane made no mistake in Round 14 beating the Titans 44-14 after racing out to a 28-0 half time lead.

The win actually broke a three-game win streak for the Titans.

There are always plenty of points on offer in the Queensland derby with 10 of the last 13 matches hitting the over on the game total.

Gold Coast Titans Form Analysis

The Titans are in the fight to avoid the Wooden Spoon which is looking more and more likely with each week that comes. To put it simply and politely, their defence sucks, allowing an average of 30.4 points per game which is obviously the worst in the NRL. They have even conceded over that mark in 10 of 15 games this season.

The Gold Coast ranks 15th or worse in opposition run metres, opposition linebreaks, possession, and territory, which are all key indicators that your gameday is not going to go so well.

Des Hasler can’t get it right on the Goldy, just like many before him, and I am not quite sure where the organisation goes from here.

Brisbane Broncos Form Analysis

The Broncos dug themselves out of an 18-point hole for the second time in three weeks, this time in the final 20 minutes, escaping with a 22-18 victory against the Dogs last week.

The match looked all but over with 20 to play but Brisbane orchestrated a miracle to claim their fourth consecutive victory with two unlikely heroes in Billy Walters and Xavier Willison doing all the damage. Walters bagged a try and had two linebreaks in 43 minutes on the field, while Willison lead the match with 203 run metres and 43 tackles to inspire their team to victory.

Brisbane are now back in business after losing four in a row, returning serve with 4 straight victories. Their attack has been sparked by the return of Reece Walsh, while their defence has settled, allowing an average of just 18 points per game over the last 4 matches.
