In the upcoming Round 21 match of the NRL 2025 season, the Brisbane Broncos are predicted to solidify their dominant form by defeating the Parramatta Eels with a 13+ point margin. With five consecutive wins and a potent attack rejuvenated by returning stars, the Broncos plan to surpass the 30.5 points mark. The Eels, struggling with consistent lineup changes, hope for a boost from Mitch Moses' return and the prominent Moses-Lomax collaboration. However, their defensive inefficiencies may not withstand Brisbane's multifaceted strategy as the Broncos push for premiership glory.

Brisbane Broncos vs Parramatta Eels, Round 21 2025 - Expert Prediction

Brisbane will brush aside the Parramatta Eels on their way to 13+ victory covering the large line by pointing up some big points of their own.

Brisbane’s trajectory is straight up at the moment, winning their last 5 matches as their attack has sparked alight with the return of the stars from suspension and injury. All eyes have been on the Broncos with ball in hand, however, they have also been one of the most solid defensive sides in the comp over the last 5 matches, averaging just 17.2 points against.

The Eels will see the return of Mitch Moses, which is of course a positive, and it is why Zac Lomax is a great pick as a double your money try scorer in this match. But it won’t be enough to keep them in the game against Brisbane, who have what it takes to push for premiership glory in both attack and defence.

Parramatta are chopping and changing their lineup  and it is only a matter of time before their opponents put up a score, so back the Broncos to score over their team total of 30.5 while covering the 13.5-point line.

  • Parramatta’s last 4 losses have been by a 13+ margin.
  • Brisbane have scored 30+ points in their last 3 victories over Parramatta
  • Brisbane Broncos are ranked 1st in Linebreaks vs Parramatta Eels's defence ranked 13th
  • Zac Lomax has scored a try in each of his last 3 matches.

Head to Head

Brisbane have won the last 4 matches against Parramatta including  30-24 and 30-14 victories last season. The Broncos have scored 30+ points in their last 3 wins against the Eels.

Despite Brisbane’s recent dominance, the Eels actually hold a 7-6 head to head record since the start of the 2019 season.

Brisbane Broncos Form Analysis

Brisbane are clearly on the rise, peaking at the right time of the year with 5 consecutive wins and will be fresh off the bye this week. Victories over top eight teams Cronulla, New Zealand and Canterbury gives a pretty good gauge that the Broncos mean business and will be in for the fight for the premiership come September.

The return of Ezra Mam, Ben Hunt and Reece Walsh Brisbane’s attack is to be feared with the trio providing a daunting service to their outside backs. All eyes have been on what they are doing with the ball at the moment but their defence is going under the radar. The Broncs have held their opponents to 18 points or less in 4 of their last 5 matches.

Despite flatlining a little mid-season, Brisbane’s defence has been class, ranked third in opposition run metres (1337.6/G) and second in opposition linebreaks (4/G) in 2025. Defence wins championships and the Broncos have all the keys at the moment.

Parramatta Eels Form Analysis

It has been another long season for the Eels and we don’t expect anything to speed up for them. Coach Jason Ryles has publicly said he is looking to the future and will be trying different combinations and has proven that by dropping Dylan Brown to the reserves.

Parramatta lost their third straight last weekend, going down to league leaders Canberra 40-16. The score looked worse than it was, at least for most of the match, with the Eels hanging in there until the half, just as they did against Penrith the week prior.

The return of Mitch Moses should see an improvement in attack, especially if the NSW half can find his flourishing connection with Zac Lomax on the wing. However, defence is a problem and will not be fixed overnight.

Parramatta Eels Team News

Mitch Moses returns for the Eels pairing up with Dean Hawkins in the halves with Dylan Brown still in the reserves.

Young gun Isiah Longi will be missing for a while with a fractured hand with Joash Papali’i taking over the No. 1. Will Penisini comes back into the centres with Bailey Simonsson dropping out.
