Moruya Value Bet - Race 2 No. 4 I Show Speed

He has not had much go right since a debut victory last winter, having covered ground at start two as a drifting favourite on July 25.

That heavy defeat resulted in a spell, and I Show Speed returned off the back of a good May 8 trial.

The son of Peltzer was well supported for his May 26 resumption, which was no surprise given that encouraging lead-up work.

A wide barrier and tough run proved costly at Albury, where the three-year-old knocked up late but was not disgraced considering the work he had to do.

Two winners have already emerged from that event, and with improvement expected from the first-up hit-out following a decent break, he can push forward under Sairyn Fawke and settle into a more comfortable rhythm this time around.

O'Briens Plumbing BM58 Handicap Tips (Race 5)

Moruya Best Bet - Race 5 No. 3 Olington Lane

It was an excellent debut victory from Olington Lane on March 30, where the gelding was inconvenienced at the start before being held up in the straight.

Despite that trouble, he still recorded a comfortable success and made it back-to-back wins when scoring at Goulburn on May 7.

He again had a little space between runs before contesting a provincial Benchmark 64 last start.

That effort resulted in his first defeat, and while he did not let down as strongly on a Heavy track, it was still a sound enough performance.

The drop in grade looks significant and, with firmer ground likely this time around, that could prove the key despite the sharp rise in the weights.

Mollymook Coolrooms BM58 Handicap Tips (Race 6)

Moruya Next Best Bet - Race 6 No. 2 Dunwithya

This looks good placement for Dunwithya, who drops into a country Benchmark 58 after an encouraging return in a Kembla Grange Class 1 on June 2.

The lightly raced four-year-old finished fourth over 1500m, recording the fastest closing sectionals of that provincial affair.

A slight rise in distance looks favourable second-up.

He broke through on rain-affected ground at his second start in September, which followed a disappointing debut effort.

There is still some upside in only his second campaign and, against very limited opposition, Dunwithya appears to have found the ideal race to bring up win number two.
