Ascot Favourite - Race 3 No. 8 Holler Nuff
This son of Justify looks your typical progressive Bob Peters three-year-old and one that can at least work through the lower grades in his third campaign.
While it's sharp placement going straight from 1200m to 1600m, coming out of a fast-run six-furlong event second-up should bring him on fitness-wise, and it was hard not to be impressed with that March 21 victory, even if it was tempo-assisted.
Holler Nuff stays at a 55kg impost under Clint Johnston-Porter, and that's despite finding what looks a weaker assignment.
Coming out of a three-year-old event that had some depth, the gelding now takes on older gallopers.
He’s the one in this field with the most upside.

Ascot Value Bet - Race 4 No. 2 Crunchy Nut
The Esperance-based galloper is going well, and while he hasn’t won in three 1600m attempts, that doesn’t tell the full story.
He carried 61.5kg two starts back over this distance when coming from back and wide, where he was only a stride off saluting.
Following another cold steer on March 14 at Ascot, the five-year-old was doing his best work late, running the fastest last 600m, and that was against the on-speed nature of that event.
Crunchy Nut was specked at a price there and opens at a longer quote despite finding a similar event with potentially a better set-up.
The gelding can ideally settle closer from barrier five under Tash Faithful, who takes the reins, and she’s been aboard for two of his last three victories.

Ascot Best Bet - Race 5 No. 8 Western Lady
Western Lady is a half-sister to Western Empire, a 10-time stakes winner whose highlight was the Group 1 Railway Stakes triumph in 2021.
The four-year-old produced a somewhat unexpected but stylish return victory on February 11 and has followed that up with a pair of seconds.
Luck hasn’t been on her side in either of those March performances, including the latest as a beaten odds-on favourite, where the Williams-trained galloper covered ground and still got home for second in a leader-dominated event.
She ran the fourth-fastest last 200m of the March 13 program in that effort.
Lucy Fiore now has a good draw at her disposal, and she’s very much an in-form hoop, with 37 winners so far in 2026, including a treble on Wednesday’s Ascot program.
PKF - Roma Cup Tips (Race 9)
Ascot Feature Bet - Race 9 No. 6 Smooth Chino
While it’s another step up for Smooth Chino, now at WFA level against some well-credentialed opposition, don’t be surprised if he starts shorter at jump time.
The four-year-old aims to stretch his unbeaten run to seven in Saturday’s resumption.
The Albany lead-up trial win on March 26 was excellent, where the gelding wasn’t knocked about, and that heat included Rope Them In, who is one of his main threats in this 1100m feature.
He was spelled after bringing up the hat-trick in last year’s Magic Millions 3YO Trophy.
Smooth Chino then took care of two 66+'s before recording an easy Black Heart Bart Stakes success on December 13, his first try against established sprinters at Listed level, and he is tactically versatile with options to settle in the first few pairs from gate three.
